Scissors that last.

Fiskar products are made by a truly old Finnish company. After teaching for several years I always ordered their products for my classrooms. These are great for home use and I will not use other cheaper products from now on.

Best sewing scissors for most types of fabric.

I grew up with a professional seamstress. My mother was very talented She had clients constantly. She worked from home with 3 children always asking for something from her. I have watched her make 4 complete dresses in one day and still have supper warming on the stove and the house spic and span. Fiskars scissors were the only scissors she used. She tried teaching me to sew when I was young, so I too love Fiskars. I was never as good at sewing as she was, but I keep the right supplies ready, including my mother's pair of Fiskar scissors. I keep a ribbon tied to the handle so everyone in my house knows not to touch these scissors to anything but fabric. I lost my mother when she was 60. Now I am two years older then she was when we lost her suddenly. I wanted a larger pair then the one I have for a project I am working on. It was a very easy purchase. I knew what brand I was buying, and these came with two pair so now I am complete with 3 different sizes of the best scissors I have ever had. It is a company and product I trust in. The cutting is so smooth. They whip around curves easily as well as making my job easier on the straight cuts. I love the sound of the scissors as I cut around my patterns on the table. It brings me a smile from years long ago. I would recommend these to anyone. Wonderful product.

You get 2 scissors!!!

And both are super sharp!! I love sharp scissors. Especially the little ones. I keep them handy by my sewing machine to snip the threads. Which is what they’re meant for. They work great. Lightweight, easy to pick up. That’s important. I bought some Gingers which are supposed to be the best. But they were too heavy and you can’t pick them up easily. That’s just wrong! These, however, are light as air and easy to grab.

my old pair was about 40 years old and was still the one I'd reach for....

I don't do a lot of sewing projects anymore, but scissors that really cut are important. These are NOT the same as the original design, which I still have. I'm actually glad of that since i can easily tell the difference. The one thing that is a bit strange is that the outer edge where you rest the scissors are you're cutting feels sharp as well. I haven't tried to see if it will cut anything but I am concerned that I will scratch the table I'm using without any protection. Other than that, I'm thrilled to have sharp scissors and a little snipper pair for clipping and for threads.

las voy a usar y y ya les diré, se ven diferentes a las mías.

Pensé que iban a ser como las mías, tengo bastante tiempo con ellas, pero mis tijeras dicen fiskars USA, y éstas son chinas, espero me salgan como las que tengo.
