Works great, but..

Great price and works great! Only issue was the holes in the liner and the lid did not match up and had to cut it to fit the grommet.

You can adjust the hole on top of the lid by turning. Glad i didn't believe the bad reviews, I would buy again.

Overall, Good Product!

The jar is great. The lid not so much. The grommet seal (for the drilled hole) does not fit the lid without shaving the plastic around the hole a little bit (basically the lid I got was too thick). The lid did not come with a gasket to seal between the lid and glass jar. But to be fair the description does not say it would come with one. Luckily gaskets are cheap so ordered a few.

Perfect for what I need

all the negative reviews........I honestly dont understand them. Every issue in the negative reviews has nothing to do with this product or company selling them. One is a gripe over the liner in the lid turning and the drilled holes not lining up, easy fix, turn the liner, the person returned the jar because the liner turned. The other negative reviews were either the bubbler is broken (granted the bubbler is loose inside the jar getting knocked around) or the jar is broken which in both cases seems to me to be a problem with the delivery driver or shipping company mishandling the package yet the negative reviews come flooding in giving a bad look to a wonderful product. ACTUAL REVIEW: I have had zero issues with these jars, in fact, I just ordered more. I tried sourcing jars and bubblers separately but this is 100% the best deal out there. If you know what you're doing these give a good air tight seal and the bubblers, well, bubble. I have made 4 batches of home made hot sauce with many more to come.

Good quality

I am making wine from yard grapes, and these items are working so well for me. the glass is thick enough that I can safely wash and move them around as needed without fearing I'll break one. the carboys are working well so far, and I'm happy with my purchase.

The gasket or grommet whatever it is called that attaches to the lid & airlock do not fit properly! I dont know if others are having the same issue or not. I'm hoping that the brew I started does not get ruined due to air getting in! I'm trying to keep the airlock on as well as I can but I am not happy with the setup! The jar is fine..the lid is fine..but if the grommet & airlock dont work properly then there is no point in using them!

Love the idea of these jars but one airlock and one lid arrived broken. This makes one full jar (ordered 2) useless. This is not the kind of quality I have come to expect from Amazon. I would like a replacement lid and airlock but for the life of me I cannot figure out to message the distributor? Hopefully someone will see this comment and message me. Wanted to like your product but come on you have to do better than this.

Good deal

great for the price, so i bought a second one. Done two bathes of sauerkraut, pickles, and now have komboucha in one and a mead experiment in the other. Just be warned that there's a little insert in the lid, so when you go to sterilize make sure you pop the rubber seal and that insert out so everything gets nice and clean. Also it seems just a little thin so I wouldn't be throwing boiling water straight into it or anything that could shock the glass, just in case.

Good Vessel - Cap needs work

The vessel itself is really good quality, genuinely no concerns there. It holds a bit more than an empirical gallon so if you're doing a homebrew primary in this (I did mead) it was perfect after racking the fruit off into a carboy. The top fits with a screw on, but the seal on the airlock requires you to insert the lock to the thickest part of its neck... so if you're not careful you'll run the risk of the primary climbing up into the valve. I'd by another if it went on sale, otherwise check out thrift shops/local people vending their equipment.

muy bien

llegó super bien cuidado y protegido, el cristal no es de un cristal muy resistente, o sea, es vidrio promedio, no es especialmente grueso. Por eso puedo dar fe de lo bien empacado que llegó y protegido y cuidado. lo estoy utilizando para fermentar chucrut y hasta hoy no se ha roto. muy buena compra (me felicito)

Doing the job so far

I have some Maple Wine bubbling away in it right now. The large lid makes it easy to put stuff in and I bet it will be easier to clean out then the bottle neck style container.
