Much nicer pitcher, but…..

This version of the pitcher looks better designed, sleeker although the cover itComes with is so crappy, an square piece of plastic Thant happens to fit the top of the pitcher. It’s a good thing the cover from the older pitcher fits.

Great guarantee

We use our Blendtec blender almost daily. This jar cracked after several months. The company promptly honored the guarantee and replaced it. I suggest not to overload it and allow frozen foods to defrost so that they aren’t too hard. The blender is quite amazing at how well it does its job. Things move around in the jar at high speed and impact the sides so over time micro defects can occur if there are hard frozen objects in repeatedly flying around so again don’t overload it and allow frozen food to defrost some and soften. The results with this blender are excellent and customer service is very good so I do recommend the Blendtec product

Does not come w/pictured lid, sent wrong jar, false advertising

Comes with a low quality hard lid. It is not the one pictured, which is a locking lid, with seals along its edges, a hole atop, and a lip. The lid is completely worthless, it is smooth along its edges which contact the blender and do not hold anything in. I am surprised it was ever let out the factory it is so terrible. Also sent the commercial version of this jar which only has a 1 year warranty vs the residential version's 3 year warranty. Send what you have pictured its not difficult

Great product except for the cover.

I've been using Blendtec for many years now to micronize fruits and vegetables getting the phytonutrients into my system fast. I have to say that the plastic cover they gave me was ridiculous and useless so I'm glad I kept the old one. This was a disappointment but I'm over it and still love my blender.

The hard lid is useless.

I'm a big fan of Blendtec. I've had my blender for close to 9 years now, and it just keeps going. It was time for a new jar, so I ordered the one with the hard lid from Amazon. The lid is completely useless. I have no idea how Blendtec expected this lid to work without covering a kitchen with blended stuff. It is a commercial jar, so perhaps it's meant to be in one of their commercial blenders with the cover? Still doesn't make sense since you'd be cleaning the inside of the cover after every use. For the price of this thing, I expected MUCH better.

Works Well

I accidently left a metal spoon in the blendtec which wrecked the original Wild Side container. I got a replacement as listed on the Amazon site. It works well and is even larger than the original as it is more of the commercial size. The lid that came with the replacement is different from the original but I can still use the old id with the new container without any problems. In all I will always check before turning on the blender and the replacement works well. Would recommend this to anyone who needs a replacement.

Lid doesn’t contain the contents: Giant mess!

The jar that this replaced had a rubberized lid that formed a tight seal. This one does not and my smoothie was all over the counter even after putting light pressure on the lid. Quite disappointed, especially for the price.

Lid is terrible

I have loved our Blentec blender for years but finally needed to replace the jar and lid. I ordered this one on Amazon without realizing the lid was different. I made my daily protein shake, made sure I wasn’t over the maximum liquid line and turned it on while holding the lid like I always do. Liquid went everywhere! The lid does not hold in the contents. Even if I pressed as hard as possible, liquid still flew out of the jar. I’m very disappointed. The jar itself is fine, hence the 2 stars, but the lid sucks.

Great Quality. - Hefty Price

This new jar for my great Blendtec Blender was needed after thousands of cycles on the old one. Works very good, Wildeside 5 sided jar works very well. My only complaint is the cost of these things... I could buy a cheap Ninja for the cost of this plastic jar! I guess you pay for quality!
