worked like a charm on the original GeoSafari Geography Game

The console is over a quarter of a century old and despite taking it entirely apart and cleaning the PCB and all the terminals, I couldn't get it to work with batteries. I was dubious this adapter would work even though the model number matched but I was wrong! It works great.

Works well. Easy to use without the expense of batteries. Don't understand why it doesn't come with globe.

Works with Geosafari Talking Globe Jr.

I did a dumb thing and tried to plug it into the headphone jack of my Geosafari Globe Jr. Well that of course did not work. But then I saw there was another jack, intended for AC and it works fine. I am surprised Educational Insights does not provide one of these with their globes when you purchase them. I did not wish to use batteries long enough to find out how soon I'd have to replace them. Ac is the way to go.

Better than batteries

This is better than batteries, but I think it should come with the expensive game system, not be an add-on charge. I just can't walk around while we are playing in the classroom, but it is better than pilfering batteries!

I only bought the adapter in this review, but the Solar System stinks...

Before I review the product, I will say the adapter was shipped promptly and exactly as expected. Couldn't ask for more from the seller... I bought the adapter to power the GeoSafari Solar System continuously since the batteries don't last that long... and now the bulbs that light the sun keep burning out. I don't know if the adapter is overpowering the toy, or the bulbs are cheap or ? The bulbs didn't burn out with the batteries, but only last for about 5 min with the adapter, and I've gone thru several bulbs and have tried with and without the motorized planets "revolving around the sun". So all I can power now are the revolving planets, which stinks without the sun shining! I may eventually measure the output of the adapter, and do some more tests with the bulbs. But at this point, I cannot recommend the Solar System and AC adapter as dependable.
