Sturdy lead, as expected

The navy is a bit darker than average, but still goes well with my halter. The lead is long enough to tie a horse with its head down, but not so long that it drags or is annoying to hold. I like the weight and the overall feel of the halter- it is nice, thick cotton that should last a long time. Overall, I'm happy with this lead.

Nice deep royal blue but doesn't feel like cotton. Made in Beijing.

I was expecting your basic thick tough rough cotton lead like what you'd get at the farm and tractor store. The tag for this lead says it's super soft, and it is. The color is gorgeous. It's not very thick, and it feels a little slippery. At first I figured it wasn't cotton. Then when I saw that the label said it was 100% cotton, I guessed it was probably made in China, and it was. We'll see how it holds up. My guess is that if I left it out by the pasture gate, it wouldn't last as long as my old farm and tractor store cotton lead. As you can see from the end, it looks like it's made of thread like what you'd use for cross stitching. This looks like something I'd use if I just wanted something pretty and didn't care about it being durable or real functional. I wouldn't have bought it if I'd seen it in person. I might just return it and buy one at the farm and tractor store now that they have more in stock.

Easy to handle with one hand and rope is not too big to handle for small hands.
