works great for my giant dog, moose.
i have a rescue that is german shepherd and possibly something else. at 8 mos he's 110 lbs. he is a puppy and came to me without manners. he's in his teenage stage so letting him out the fence to explore the forest with my other WELL TRAINED dogs is dangerous. if he sees a deer he follows it as far as it runs. not wanting to keep him in the fence while the rest of us were walking the property, i bought a lunge line for him. that way he still has 25 ft to "roam" but can't run away. this one is a little lighter than i used on my horses and i don't like that about it, however, the end stop has been great. i can depend on it to stop him if i drop the lead. it gets hung on something and stops him. also allows me to hold it and if he jerks i have extra power with that in my hand. i wouldn't use this on a horse because it's too flimsy for my taste but i'm using it on a dog so there you go. i use this daily so it fits my needs for the most part. the clip is hella strong and i don't worry about it failing at all. it's a decent deal, too. over all, i'm pleased with it for using with my dog. i would want something sturdier for lunging my horse.

Sturdy and lasts years - but I suggest gloves
I have two of these - one I use with a chain attached and one without. I have had one of them for 5 years and it is still in great condition after constant use and a sassy horse. I do suggest riding gloves if you have a horse that tends to buck or pull out on the lunge line. I have gotten some rips from getting caught off guard by my horse on naughty days. On calm days, it is no problem at all. I prefer this type as it is easy to hold in smaller hands and easy to gather up.

The quality seems good. The material is soft enough not to hurt my hands and seems strong and durable. I am pleased with the length as well. The item arrived in a reasonable amount of time and was priced well. My main disappointment is that the snap is so large and heavy. I can't fit the snap through the ring on smaller bits to run the lounge line up over the poll and attach to the other side of the bit. I wish the snap was a little smaller and didn't weigh as much.

rugged with good snap
This is a nice rugged lunge line, with a bull snap, as opposed to a dog lease type snap. I prefer the rubber doughnut, so that was a plus with this purchase. It's a bit slippery, so don't forget your gloves. Used for lunging horses. Hopefully it will stand the test of time. I'll update this review if it doesn't.

Love this great quality, I use this with my GSD it holds him fine. Works great and he does not mind it at all. He weighs about 115 at one year and I am glad I purchased .
