Cant be too safe!
Every cyclist should be using bike lights and with these prices there's no excuse not to. The rear light is great with many different settings and functions. My only complaint is with the front headlight which is actually too bright on certain settings. There's a difference between being visible and blinding everyone who is in front of you. I can see this being useful if you're riding on a super dark road which needs to be illuminated, but if you're just trying to stay visible to drivers, it's an overkill. I still recommend the light because there are many settings that are not too bright and it's just a great tool to have when trying to stay safe.

Both worked great; held up under adverse weather; and made biking safer
Used this product while biking both the GAP and C&O.

Nice quality lights
Bought these bike lights over a year ago. Quality seems very good. Front light is plenty bright. Switch between low and high, blinking and solid by pressing the button on the top. Press twice fast to go into ultra-bright mode. Rear light is also very bright, and has plenty of blinking options to annoy the rider behind you! Can also set the rear light to be solid-on, and can dim or brighten by pressing and holding the second button. Knocking one star off only because it’s a pain to turn the lights off. To turn it on, you just have to press the power button once. To turn it off, you have to hold the power button down for a second or two. That doesn’t seem like a big deal, but when I get home from my night ride it’s just a nuisance hold down the button twice to turn both lights off. Why can’t it just have a second button so I can turn it off without having to hold for two seconds? That would be so much nicer. It’s those little details that make the difference! Also, these lights come with a quick release so you can pop the lights off. I highly recommend taking the lights off whenever you park your bike. My girlfriend’s front light was stolen while she was in the restaurant for less than an hour. I see this as an anti-theft feature rather than a flaw, as long as you remember to take them off!

Great lights, happy with these every time I ride
I have used these for several months and really love my light set. I primarily ride in the daytime so I can't speak for how well the front light works as a beam light, but they are super bright and noticeable in the daylight/at dusk which helps me feel safer and not worry if I do get caught out later. I set the front light to flash and the back has a blinking and a slow fade in/fade out that I use, but there are lots of different settings/speeds depending on what you prefer. I have never had either light die during a ride and they last several (30-45 minute) rides on one charge. I paid more for this because reviews said go with cygolite, and I'm glad I paid the extra money to not hassle with batteries and have two very bright lights. The front reflects off of every light/streetsign I pass so I know it's BRIGHT and cars are seeing it. Important things to know: The front light was SUPER tight on the quick-release at first, I almost couldn't get it off and I ended up cutting my finger the first time I did manage to get it off. Now it slides on/off with only a little friction, but it took a while to get it to loosen. Didn't have much trouble with the quick release on the rear light. It uses a MINI usb charger not a micro, so if you don't have any extra mini cables (I didn't) you will have to buy another cord if you want to charge both lights at once.

Great Safety Combo!
The mini USB is a drag, but the small inconvenience doesn't take away from a great combo. I throw a mini USB cord in my bag so I can charge wherever. The battery life is impressive. I've used the burst mode for 3 hours and the steady pulse for 3 hours on the Streak and have yet to charge it. These are great safety modes that are not offered on every headlight. Everything I've read is that Cygolite's modes are the best and I have to agree. I have used the pulse mode on the Hotshot for a total of 6 hours without a charge. Overall, the rated battery life is accurate to conservative. The Streak headlight is plenty bright. There is more of a hot spot than some other lights, but I actually appreciate this vs a wide net of light because its nice to see potholes in advance. The mount is good. I feel like it is more secure than a stretchy rubber band, but placement was a little more tricky on my road bike. The strobe effect of the Hotshot, I feel is is the best balance for a single light. Blinking attracts attention and steady helps gauge distance. Two lights would be better, but I feel this one mode is a good middle ground. You can do better, but I don't think you need to do better unless you cycle in extreme conditions. For most commuters in most environments this is the combo to get.

Great lights, love 'em
I bought this set to help me commute at night, and to be seen. Oh man, am I seen! The rear light is one bright sucker, and I really like how I can choose between steady, triple pulse with steady, triple pulse without steady, and blinking at intervals set by you. Very customizable, so you can have it on very bright while you're in a dangerous area with car traffic, and turn it to a much lower, battery saving setting while you're on a dedicated bike trail. The front light is great for being seen as well, it has the five settings of which I usually use either the triple pulse setting or the daylight strobe setting. My only complaint with the front light is that while it's raining it can be hard to see the road in front of you if there's a lot of light in front of you. For example, on my commute home I ride on a dedicated bike-only trail beside a very busy road. The way it's laid out means that I ride facing the traffic beside me, and their headlights can wash out this front light if it's wet or raining outside. I think it's because the light is so small, so that its reflector lens can't compete with car headlights. Long story short: It's a very good purchase and value for money if you're a regular commuter since you can recharge via USB. If you live in a wet-prone area, I'd consider getting a larger light.

Just okay
The headlight is similar to my Metro, which has 400 lm, but this unit is rated at 450, and side-by-side, it looks less bright than my Metro. It is a smaller body also, which is not a big issue, but it looks less conspicuous on the bar. The battery life is similar to that of its Metro cousin, or about 70 minutes on the brightest setting. Adequate for my commute, but certainly not great. Again, very similar to the Metro. The rear tail light is decent, but its unidirectional. That is to say that unless you're viewing directly from behind it's brightness drops off significantly. It is quite bright when view directly from behind. I normally run more than one light, so it's not as big an issue. The mount is decent, and you can easily slide off the light for charging. If, however, you use the same light for more than one bike then it's a bit of a hassle to do every time.

Good Light
The headlight functions well. It is very bright even in daylight. The taillight is also satisfactory. The only issue has been the headlight holder coming loose because of the tapered handlebar it is mounted on - not the fault of the light design of course.

Weak and expensive mount, front light does not hold charge after 4 months
Stay away from the front light, the rear light is fine. The locking system of the otherwise sturdy and well conceived front light mount is fragile and you will loose your light on the streets without the locking clip that breaks off easily. The front light is subject to flickering and variability after a mont of bumpy roads, the electronics get disturbed too easily by vibrations. Last, and not least, the light loses its charge to a point of utter uselessness after 20 minutes of usage. My usage is during winter months, bike and light are kept warm between rides. My usual rides are -5 times a week, twice 35 minutes. The product is useless after 4 months and the service period is over. I feel cheated, this purchase was a sour burn.
