Sliders hard to use
Sometimes to slide it back and forth it's kind of a pain because they like to stick

Third hand cleaning helper
I needed something to simply set a rifle in for cleaning without the hassle of either chasing it around the bench with the cleaning rod or propping it up and clamping in a vise. My cradle parks on a pegboard and when I need to clean a rifle it drops down to the bench and set the rifle down. The rifle stays put while you change patches or get cleaners, easy access to the rifle's bottom just pick it up and flip it over, no fiddling to readjust vise squeeze. I still use two hands , one to push the rod with patch and one to push or hold the rifle back. However, now I don't have a rifle flopping around or even falling off the bench. It IS a simple, inexpensive, rest like having a third hand while cleaning a rifle. It IS meant for non-firing use, allows quick easy repositioning (lift reposition set down), even will hold just a stock or barrel without reconfiguring. It IS NOT a range rest for firing or any use where the rifle needs to be clamped like sight drifting. It has reduced my basic rifle cleaning time by 1/3 or more.

Good little stand
Pros: It works. It was a lot cheaper than the other stands for sale on Amazon. I'm not sure why a little bit of plastic is so expensive. I'm not even sure why a stand like this is the price it is. It's just a little bit of molded plastic. Cons: * Low to the table. It would be nice if they had a wider base and were higher off the table. I just placed this stand on top of a box to make it a better height. * Not easily stored. You can take this stand apart by pulling the caps off the plastic bars in the middle then sliding them back out. I have a feeling I'll eventually lose the caps.

Too short for any riffle with a pistol grip.
I wish I had not bought this. It will make an ok field cradle because it gets so small, but it sucks for olding anything with a pistol grip. The pistol grip hits the table top and kicks the rifle up in the back saddle; see the attached photo. I can alleviate this by building a wooden tray with a recessed center, but that really defeats the point of this adjustability and simplocity of this cradle. If Hoppes just made it one inch taller, preferrably two inches, this would be a perfect low-cost and lightweight cradle.

pretty good for the price a little flimsy
pretty good for the price a little flimsy. the two outer plates slide back and forth on the black rods too much. they dont grip really tight. pick the gun up and put it down the plates move all the time. move the entire cradle with a gun in it and again the plates slide around a bit. overall for the price not too bad.

Looks great, but not so usefull for AR-15s
I bought this to help clean my ar-15 and my 10-22. Truth is, these things are good for showing your gun off, but to help you clean them they are almost useless. I bought this after seeing it at my local gun smith. For the 10-22 these are nice to hold the rifle while you brush off the residue. However, for the ar-15 my quad rail doesn't fit so it sort of sits on top. However i gave it a 5 out of 5 because it adjusts and it can hold a pistol or rifle for display purposes, its just sort of worthless for cleaning.

Packs away in duty bag
Good enough. I like that it packs away inside a regular size duty bag with the other cleaning tools.

Simple and handy
Simple and handy. Works for it's purpose.

Handy to have
Handy to have. Could be a little taller as I have to keep the gun fairly far forward so that the butt of the stock doesn't touch the table. Seems well built, compact, and fits well in my cleaning supply toolbox.

Not that stable!
Good for display only Better to save money for something better You gonna need to hold on to your rifle while using cleaning rod. I dont recommend this product

Fair value.
This is a good quality gun stand for the money. Ok for cleaning and minor repairs. If you need more than this spent the money and get yourself a proper gun vice.
