Decent mower for 1/4 acre or smaller yards

It came broken, front axle was bent enough to prevent the front wheel from turning and the front left wheel had damage to make it wobble. $32 to get the parts needed from Craftsman because Amazon didn't respond to my query. That being said, once the damaged parts were replaced, it works very well. It has a decent height adjustment that is simple to use. The battery is good for ~1/3 acre or less. It is considerably quieter than a gas mower. It is also lighter which made it easier to mow up simple inclines. This unit fits 2.5 AH V60 batteries if you have other V60 tools, so they are a good backup for less than 1/4 acre per battery. I don't like the wheels. They are just hard plastic and for this price point, they should have better wheels like similarly priced gas mowers. Replacement batteries are incredibly expensive, more than half the price of the mower.

Adequate Mower but Misleading Information

I bought this mower based on the fact the the manufacturer said it was ideal for 1/4 acre lawns and the battery takes only an hour to charge. I have a 1/4 acre lawn and it takes about three charges to get through the entire thing. The mower only runs for about 30 minutes before the battery dies. This is a problem because the battery takes about three hours to charge (not the advertised one hour). When I reached out to the manufacturer to see if my battery was defective they said the times I've listed here are normal. This battery should be rated for about a third of the lawn size listed, and 3x the battery charge time. I'd recommend this mower for anyone with a yard of approximately 3500 sq ft, but for anything more you'll find yourself taking all day to mow your lawn due to having to wait for charging. On top of that they do not sell an additional separate battery for this mower so you are stuck with one battery if you buy that model. Overall - Very dissatisfied with the information provided by Craftsman and the performance of the mower. This could be remedied with some edits to this page to correct misinformation or by providing the option to buy an additional battery.

A Real Usable Lawnmower For Normal Humans

Sunday afternoons are when everyone mows in our neighborhood. The cacophony of lawnmowers and the smell of gas and oil can be overwhelming. Yesterday, Sunday, we trotted out our Craftsman and pushed the button and were surprised when we could still hear our neighbors’ mower over the Craftsman. Obviously, the smell of oil was not an issue. My husband mowed our lawn in less than 15 minutes and then easily touched up a couple spots the neighbors had missed between our houses. This mower glides and its button start makes mowing a curse free chore. *The mower went together in less than 5 minutes after my husband got the box open and the battery charged in just over 45 minutes out of the box. The battery will most likely last two or three mows, but we will probably charge it after every two. We did use our leaf blower to blow the extra grass clippings out of the bottom and upper deck because they did collect there - this took about ten seconds.

So Disappointed

I waited for a bit to receive this and when it finally arrived, it looked like a nice enough machine, but there were no instructions, no manuals, plus two knobs needed to put the handle together were missing. I'm 71 years old and it was a pain in the butt unpacking this heavy thing by myself and now I need to pack it back up again to return it. Thank goodness I didn't cut the box to get the machine out or I would really be in a mess. I don't know if this was a previous return, the box almost looked like it. Just very disappointed.

The box was destroyed things was rattling around, and I'm sure parts were missing, so I sent it back after a half roll of tape

Great Battery Mower

Bought this mower after I had to discontinue our landscaping service due to being laid off from work. I was worried that I would need 2 batteries based on the reviews however 1 battery cut my entire lawn. I would estimate the lawn on my property is about 0.15 acres. Some of it was a bit overgrown but the mower had ample power for the job. Battery showed half full after mowing my lawn. It even cleaned up all the yard debris I blew onto the lawn with the leaf blower. Mower was very quiet. Box from Amazon came damaged however mower was fine and took about 5 minutes to put together. I would certainly buy this again. Seems like a great product.

Mixed emotions on this mower.

When in bagging mode, it blows some grass clippings in your face. My battery power indicator light also doesnt work. Other than than so far it seems great. So super light weight, very easy to fold, store and adjust the handle height. I love that it has to have the key to start and is super quiet. I am worried about it having so many plastic pieces, but time will tell if it's a problem.

Great mower

The Craftsman replaced a corded electric mower, and I would never go back (and -- if you want to know -- I would never go back to a gas mower unless I had a truly huge lot). It works very well, finishing our 1/4 acre lot -- with five stand-alone gardens to mow around -- with a lot of electricity to spare, according to the meter. It is lighter than I expected, and easy to push. Also: easy to set up and easy to charge. It took more pressure than I expected to get the battery to "click" into place on the mower -- just saying. Mowing is so much faster and easier without the cord!
