Excellent value, shifts smoothly
(Updated December 2018: )Excellent value for my 1980s Centurion Ironman road bike. Replaced the original 42T small chain ring with the 39T Vuelta. Retained good gear spacing with the original 13-24 freewheel, easier for hill climbs. Needed to adjust front derailleur to reduce chain dropping but otherwise easy to install and get working properly. It's been more than a year since my original review and the chainring is still working perfectly. It's equal to my original Suntour chainrings. I just purchased the 50T version to replace my bike's original 52T to ease a physical transition while I'm recovering from injuries. It should be a good match with the 39T for our roller coaster terrain with few serious climbs or downhills, with only minor loss of the top gear which I seldom used anyway.

Nice but not as described
I did not get a chance to actually install and use these chainrings because I have to return them. The product description says 7075 aluminum but as you can see in my picture, they have 6061 aluminum written on the package. They either need to fix the product description or sell the right product. They seem to be quality rings but I wanted 7075 aluminum.

Beware! You may not get a ramped and pinned chainring.
Beware! Although the 130 x 42T chainring I purchased seems to be well made, it is not as advertised. It does NOT have ramps or pins to facilitate up shifting (shift from the smaller ring to this larger ring) as advertised. It also no smaller teeth on the ring to facilitate down shifting (going from this chainring to a smaller chainring). On my 21 speed (3x7) Shimano HG drive bike, it will not downshift properly. Although it is has the SE Plus stamp of the ring, it seems more like the SE Flat ring for single speed cranks. Also, it is not T7075 aluminum as advertised. It is T6061 which is softer. T6061 is what is used on the SE Flat (single speed rings).

Works perfectly to replace a 52 tooth chainring on my 10 speed bike. Came in one day.

pinned chainring for 8 speed shimano 600 ultegra.
This was part of a Gear change for my bike. I paired it with a 38 t ring with no pins. Shifts are instant and it works fine with my 8 speed group.

Bait & Switch! Beware!
Description clearly says 7075 alloy aluminum. Product that arrived is clearly marked 6061 alloy aluminum which is a vastly inferior alloy for bicycle drivetrains. This chainring should be $15, not $50.

NOT WHAT I WAS EXPECTING, & NOT AS ADVERTIZED IN THE DESCRIPITION & SPECIFICATIONS! WHAT I RECEIVED WAS 6061 T6 ALUMINUM, NOT THE T7075 AIRCRAFT ALUMINUM! I KNOW VUELTA MAKE VERY GOOD PRODUCTS, SO I RETURNED THIS ONE & BOUGHT ANOTHER ONE FOR LESS $$$ THAT SUITED ME.

Ad said it would be "pinned and ramped", I assumed just like the picture, but it was not. It still works though.
