Nice Control, Safety feautures

The control is easy to see and operates simply. Pick your temp and pick how many hours you want the blanket to be on. Control lights up bright blue making it easy to see in the dark, then goes dark in less than a minute. The electric cord connection at the blanket has two safety catches. The blanket heats fairly evenly and is not too heavy. I do wish the material was not so silky, the blanket tends to slide around a good bit. I would also like to have a way to hand the controller off the bed frame or somewhere similar. I have it laying flat on a bedside table shelf, but that means having to look at a lots of white electric cord.

So plush and very, very warm!

I've used many electric blankets over the years, and this one is very affordable and gives off A LOT of heat! More heat than every other blanket I've had, actually. So I highly recommend it! At night, I'll usually max it at 12 to "preheat" my bed for about 20-30 minutes, and it's wonderfully toasty once I get in bed. Then it only needs to be set to about 6-8 to for mild warmth as I sleep. And I like that you can extend the timer past 8 hours. The biggest difference between other blankets I've used, is this is a much thinner, plush fabric than it is a thick blanket. So I suppose it can be easily used off the bed for sitting on a couch and wrapping yourself in it etc. And for that, I would assume you'd need much lower settings. And while you can feel the wires slightly, they're completely flexible and not obtrusive at all. The slight negative that others have noted is: the heat control is easy to use, but is NOT illuminated, so you can't see the setting or timer numbers in the dark. But here's my work around: if the lights are off, I'll just turn the middle power button off, then on again, which automatically resets to level 6 for warmth and 8 hours on the timer. And I think that would cover what most people would need for the rest of the night. Otherwise, it's just a few presses on the + button for warmer or a longer timer. PS: one tip to elevate the electric blanket warmth even more, is to have some kind of thicker, heavier blanket on top of it (ie, between your comforter and the electric blanket). The weight of both will assist in boosting the heat.

Very nice electric blanket

First of all the material is so soft and cozy it is amazing. Second it heats so well I keep it lower than usual. Highly recommend!

Controls are hard to use in the dark. Works well otherwise.

We like the color, the texture, the generous size. When the controls are set correctly, the blanket heats appropriately, auto turns off when it's supposed to, etc. We don't like the fact that the buttons are nearly flush with the face of the control. It's very hard to feel the location of the buttons in the dark and they don't light up as a way of helping the user. Also, I'm sure the directions are translated to English from another language and the instructions are difficult to make sense of. My husband and I are both engineers with a lot of experience reading (and writing) user instructions. These could be MUCH clearer. Eventually, we figured them out but it took much longer than one would expect and we had to hold the control in hand while sorting out the instructions. In the subcategory of "Temperature Control", I put 4 stars. The physical device and the written instructions would be 2 or a 3; the actual resulting temperature (when set correctly) is a 5.

Blanket was thin; didn’t heat evenly.

Did the job for me, but if you’re wanting a lot of warmth, I would get something else. The color and softness was very nice but the blanket was super thin. Least favorite thing about this blanket is that there’s no wires in the outside foot of the blanket as you can see in the picture, but if you’re just a little cold at night this blanket will do.

Large and warm.

HUGE and very warm. 10 hours? Sometimes it stops before 10 hours, sometimes it lasts longer. The cord is very long and the dual controls are simple to work. If the controls flash after pushing the ON button, the plug has become dislodged at the blanket ( just push it til it is fully inserted). The heating wires are easily felt and can cause a rippled appearance. The blanket material feels nice. Warms quickly. Even on very low settings, the blanket can get very warm. The first few nights, on setting 3, I had to reduce to 2 or LOW because it was too warm. If folded upon itself, super hot spots can occur. The blanket can tolerate liquid spills while heating. I've had several water bottle/tea leaks and spills without incident. I sleep on top of the blanket to prevent overlapping and hot spots. On my CalKing, my feet will fight with the cord if it is on top of me. I use metal clips to keep the blanket from shifting and overlapping. I use a thin sheet on top of the blanket. I never go above setting 3. I would purchase again. Wait til the price is $85 or less. One star deducted for the obvious wires and the super hot spots. The cat absolutely loves it.

Choose the right one not expensive one

I am kind of a little disappointed for this product. I bought the same brand name”Sunbeam “Micro plush heated blanket queen size last year . It was very nice, soft and warm up so fast, pretty satisfied. However one day my mom came to visit and tried the blanket, she liked it and took it, so I needed to buy a new one. I thought Micro plush blanket is already quite good, maybe the one on the top called Velvet plush is better, as it’s more expensive and seems like to have more features than the Micro plush. Therefore the second time I bought, I choose the velvet plush. Honestly I don’t like it. On the ad, it says it is the softest of all ,but the problem is the blanket is too glossy looking and easily to have electric shocks. The blanket itself is very thin compared to Micro plush. The lesson I learned from this purchase. Don’t choose the expensive and expect more, but choose the right one.

Siempre falla

He comprado 3 veces este producto: el 1ero solo la mitad calentaba bien, 2do la cajita de control hacia un zumbido eléctrico, 3 ero todo ok y a las semanas empezó a hacer el zumbido eléctrico y es super incomodo escuchar ese ruido todo el tiempo mientras el cobertor esta encendido. Si el proveedor ajustara ese defecto seria un excelente producto.

Ex elente compra

Tengo otro covertor Sumbeam desde hace 15 años y aun funciona bien, por eso volvi a comprar de esta marca, llego antes del tiempo programado y funciona muy bien. Una buena compra.
