A very efficient transformer
High quality transformer with stable charging Mainly used for charging 18v batteries, does not heat up even during long charging. Very satisfied and highly recommend.

Efficent (But Heavy) Converter
I bought this converter to take with me to Italy while studying abroad. I used it while I was in Rome and it worked well. After doing a bit of research I leaned that converters shouldn't be left plugged in, especially while charging certain items, so I never left it plugged in for more than an hour or two at a time. It heats up quite a bit, so I would suggest not leaving it plugged in to long, especially when it's really hot. I used this converter to charge my laptop, cell phone, and camera battery. I didn't have any issues with it, so overall I'd say it worked great. The watts were good since I wasn't using it for a blow dryer, straightener, or curling iron. I was too nervous to attempt to bring those items along with me to use with foreign currency. The only reason I rated this product a little low is because it weighed a lot and every ounce matters when you have a 50lb weight limit for luggage.

Kinda sorta OK transformer.
For MY purposes, it is perfect, but I don't expect it to handle 200 Watts. For your purposes, it may not be appropriate. Will it deliver 200 Watts? Maybe — for a little while. It might be rated at 200 Watts PEAK. It is too small for a continuous 200 Watt load and the plastic case is not ventilated. Probably, it would get very hot, smell bad, melt, and could catch fire. Based only on the weight, I estimate 60 Watts continuous would be OK.

It works but weighs a TON!
This did the job for on our trip to France but it is SOOOOO heavy and not at all compact. The cord is long enough to make it easy to plug into an outlet and not be tied to the wall. We used it for our Medela Symphony Breast pump which is a very expensive rental.

It works great, however, very few electronics need one. Just check and see. Most electronics these days work 100-240v & 50-60hz. But if you have something that doesn't work on the higher voltages, this works great to step it down to 120. It's very heavy though.

A great, cheap step-down converter that won't melt
I used this for my trip to Italy, and then again for a trip to St. Pierre, France. It worked wonderfully in both of these places. Recommendation: It has only 1 outlet, so bring along a small, cheap adapter that turns one outlet into 3. This was the cheapest step down converter that I could find on Amazon, and it performed admirably. With the adapter I was able to use my laptop and charge 2 phones/tablets at the same time. It threw out very little heat. I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5 for the following reasons: It's a bit on the heavy side, making it awkward to carry around. On top of that, the short cable means that it will sometimes be dangling from the plug if the outlet is far enough up the wall (and they were at times). This felt unsafe. On the other hand, my travelling companion brought along a much more expensive, much more powerful converter. During out Italian trip it melted. This one on the other hand, even though much cheaper, held up admirably. Please note that this is warranted to work up to 200 watts. You'll have no trouble with cellphones, tablets, or even laptops. I even charged all 3 of these things at the same time. You will however, not be able to run something like a hair drier, a curling iron, or most heating pads with it, as these items draw much more than 200 watts.

3 years and working perfectly still.
I took this overseas with me where I use it regularly and have had it for 3 years now. Whenever I come back to use it, it's there for me and works perfectly!
