Exactly what I needed!

If you have a ceiling-suspended projector, and you need to power a Cat-5 to HDMI converter, this doohickey does the trick.

Pay attention to the side the extension cord protrudes from

I wish I could post this as a note rather than a review as I purchased the product but cannot try it until I get an extension cord. FOR FUTURE BUYERS: Note the side in which the US 3 prong female extends from. On the part the plugs into the TV, let's call the side with the two prongs the top, the extension cord comes out to the left side and is not flexible at the base (obviously so). The plug on my TV is on the left side of my TV and I cannot plug this cord in as the extension portion extends from the side which is next to the TV. I will need to get a short C13/14 extension cord and give this another go. Perfect length to provide the extra power at the source with opulent plugging and unplugging action.

Excellent power adapter for use with a projector or streamlined wall-mounted TV to get local access to A/C power at the device without an additional cord, extension or splitter. I used this in conjunction with a projector and a USB power adapter for Google's Chromecast. It's short enough to not appear cluttered. It also has a neat feature in a push-lever that unplugs the cord that is plugged in. It's like an opulent version of an outlet, but for the discerning plugger/unplugger, who is just "too classy" to yank on two cords. This lever provides smooth, unstressed removal of a plug from the socket. Clearly this is a cord for the elite, and at a price that's less than a hodge-podge assembly of adapters and converters. In all seriousness, it actually works really nicely in my projector situation, in that I don't "bump" the projector when yanking out a cord, and looks seamless and not out of place. Highly recommended.

This thing is brilliant!

This is great for adding an extra AC tap at a projector where outlets are limited. I'm using mine to power an LCD polarizer to add passive 3D projection capabilities. The polarizer requires AC power, but I have no outlet at my projector. With this cord, that's not a problem. The spring-loaded lever for ejecting a connected wall wort is a nice bonus.

great invention, worth the price.

A really great product that give you an additional electrical outlet behind your TV or computer without having to run extension chords. The perfect thing for bringing power to a Sound bar. Depending on how much room you have behind the TV, you may need the 90 degree angle adapter as well.

Cable Management

I use it to connect my lights that are mounted on top of my tops (speakers) This way I dont have to run a cord from the top (Light) to the bottom. Less wires to hide

A cruise ship "must have".

Works great! Unplug your cabin TV and insert this baby between the TV and its 115v power cable, you now have power for your charger (tablet, phone, iPod etc..) and still be able to watch TV. Sorry ladies, not for use with high current appliances like hair dryers, irons and curlers.
