Thankfully was delivered one day early--a few hours before massive storm knocked out our power. Needed cord from generator to electric box. In the elements, too. High winds, heavy rains.

Good 240AC 30A Power Cord for the Money

I use this on my food truck for generator power. I bought it to extend the 50 ft cord that I normally use when I need some extra distance. So far it is holding up well considering I store it on the exterier of the truck where it is subjected to weather and road conditions. It is not showing signs of wear or fatigue as yet. No complaints.

Quality For The Money

I purchased this cable without regard for the vendor (at first) for my generator specifically for the capacity. I wanted to run at least 30-50% power to our house during blackouts by our utility company which last year totaled four between two and four days. I chose this company from several because of their response to my correspondence. While the cable is heavy it is very playable and came well wrapped, protected and boxed. The cable is well put together and the quality appears excellent. I would recommend this company and their product. I should add that I ordered an additional 25' extension to add to this one.

Contek 25-foot 10/4 30 Amp Cord- perfect....Why,..... read below

This purchase was part of my upgrade this year for my hurricane prep. What I didn't know at the time was a 100 MPH hurricane would hit on July 4th before I could put the plan together. This 25-foot cord was just the right length to keep my generator a safe distance from my home to my outside 30 amp box to feed my 200 amp panel inside. The high profile color is a plus as others commented it is easy to see in the dark. I know this because at 6 am Hurricane Arthur had just departed our coast it was dark and no current for past 12 hours. It seems well made and durable. After searching the web and local big box store, i was able to find a T handle with 18 inch velcro strap at Walmart to transport the 25-foot cord with ease. Now I am waiting for the next storm....

Works as advertised.

I have used this cord three times to hook a 7500 watt CAT generator to our house during power outages. It works perfectly. We throw off the main to not backfeed to the grid, turn off most breakers in the house except for one bedroom with an air-conditioner and the kitchen with a refrigerator, and plug this into its own circuit going into the breaker box. Easy, peasy.

I'll be ready this winter

High quality cable! I will be using this with myChampion 7500-Watt Dual Fuel Generator (240V/30A) and am happy with the build quality of this cable. Nice and flexible and no cracks or splits anywhere. Ordered the 25-ft one to have enough length to place my gen a safe distance from my house. Red and yellow cables are pictured, but the one I received it yellow.

High Quality

High quality. Heavy gauge. Connectors on both ends are high quality, are solidly attached, and fit easily and snugly into both my generator and the transfer switch (by flashlight, during a power outage, which is the real test). Coils very easily after use, which is a big plus for me. Saw comparable product for less at Home Depot a couple weeks after I bought this, probably because of cost of S&H embedded in the Prime price, but hard to beat the selection and convenience here on Amazon.

Fantastic product! Exactly what I was looking for. I needed this to connect my generator to my house circuit, and as it would be running outdoors it would have to be very heavy duty and, of course, waterproof. Check all the above with grade A+. It's a very well-made, solid product. I've had it out there in all sorts of weather, from burning summer sunshine to heavy winter snows, and no problems at all. The darn thing still looks new. Highly recommended!

I did not use this product yet, But the quality seems to be excellent and also a very good price, compared to a lot of others that I was looking at. Perfect

The cord was welded in a superior rubber coating. The plugs at both ends were of high quality the metal prongs at both ends were very solidly constructed. I would recommend this cord for anyone purchasing a generator.
