Here's hoping!
This cord is Chinese, is supposed to be 10 gauge. I say "supposed to be 10 gauge" , as I have (in the past) received 12 gauge Chinese wire that was NOT full 12 gauge. Securely attatched plug ends, very flexible @ 80 degrees. I hope it IS 10 gauge; it looks very good. Sadly, no way of establishing actual gauge of conductors. For now the "benefit of the doubt" must suffice. . After a close inspection and hook-up: I must add, the female connectors "insides" are brass and do make contact with both sides of the male blades. This cord really does look like good quality. Conntek seems to be a major player in electrical wiring components. I feel somewhat confident that it really is 10 gauge. . Finally-a storm that knocked the electricity out. First real test of this power cable and my propane converted gas/ or propane generator. Everything went swell. The only drawback of running propane is slightly less power, but still more than enough. It even ran my HVAC heat pump by accident for a short time.

Solid Construction, bright red color, as good as a cord as you are going to get
It's hard to get a heavy duty 30 amp power cord wrong, and this one is great. I was looking for an extension cord for my generator to hook to the house and this one fit the bill perfectly. Strong enough to deal with the outdoors and let me close the garage door on it so I can keep the generator outside. Its been in below freezing weather and was still flexible and easy to unwind and hook up. Other than a strong cord the only other item that was important to me was the color, I wanted to make sure no one would miss it and this thing is a nice bright red that I think stands out better against snow than a yellow cord which was really the only reason I didn't go with yellow.

works great
works great. Had a patch done by the electrician so we could hook this from the electrical panel for the house up to our generator & run the household electricity & forced air unit when the power goes out, which it does quite often around here. Does what it's supposed to do. Power has already gone out & we hooked it up & all runs well.

Feels like a heavy duty cable
I bought this cable based off on all the reviews. I have no idea if this wire will weather the elements. I have my inlet power box installed inside my garage and the generator will be outside under cover. The cable ends will be under cover so hopefully the cable should last me a very long time.

Works like a charm
I like many other New Yorkers was out of power after Hurricane Sandy. I bought a generator but needed the extension cord to hook it up to my house. I put the order for overnight shipping and received it the next day. Tony ensured that I would receive my item on time and it arrived at 10:30 am the next day. Thanks Tony!

Generator Cable
Very heavy duty construction. A bit stiff but to be expected for the heavy gauge wire used. I prefer the red color - easily identifiable and stands out when being used or run across the ground. Twist lock connectors work fine. Ends of the wire when received were protected by a foam/plastic - nice touch. Works great.

Tough Duty Cord

Good quality cable
I bought to connect my generator to cable supplying my emergency power to my house. I have only used it on a trial basis so far (no prolonged power outages) but the built quality is excellent. I would recommend this product.
