I expected the product to be more sturdy to take on a camping trip. Also difficult to screw bottom half of the light after replacing batteries.

Bottom Busts Open

I purchased four of these. One of them, the bottom pops open over and over, despite twisting it back on carefully with a good tight turn. Annoying. Very. Especially in a black out. Cheap plastic. Annoying florescent type lighting. Other than that, they help to light the darkness in a black out.

This is a great product. I keep it around the house in case of a power outage. Gave one to my nephew for Christmas. I will purchase another one.

Good product for the price

I just received a couple of these yesterday so I can't speak to the long term durability. I have purchased Coleman battery-powered lanterns before. The power in my area goes out frequently and I really like that I can turn these on and leave them on a table, unlike walking around with a flashlight. They generate enough light that you can sit at a table and eat a meal while reading something. And you can walk out of the room and not be concerned about leaving a burning candle unattended. These are the least expensive models that I have purchased although they look like what I've bought in the past. The plastic is light weight. That might be good for taking on a hike or maybe not because it might shatter easily if dropped. For my usage, it's just fine. One thing that I noticed with this cheaper version - there is only one light setting. It's on or it's off. When it's on, it's very bright. More expensive versions have two levels of light. My grandson has a Coleman lantern by his bedside that he can turn on or off himself if he wakes up at night. I think the light on this lantern is rather harsh and would not be good as his "night light" All in all, though, it's a very good value for the price.

Nice light for a 15' x 25' room area allowing for safe move about at night. WOW battery efficiency! My best investment for nonflammable emergency lighting for use during our hurricane power outages. Non-skid, grippy rubber base adds additional placement stability. A good maintainer of civilization, security. We use NiMH rechargeable D cells in sets of four, each set lasts 10 hours duty per night for about two weeks, so it can be a fairly long-term solution, if need be.

Iluminacion adecuada si no eres muy exigente.

El producto llego a tiempo bien empaquetado. Es mas pequeña de lo que calcule y no me da la impresion que aguante muchas caidas en un piso duro..... sin embargo considero que la iluminacion es adecuada con una buena relacion calidad/precio. El uso ha sido para apagones estando en casa.... no para acampar. Por cierto, la parte superior tenia unos pequeños tallones que en lo personal no me molestaron. hay que tomar en cuenta que es de pilas y no requieres muchas, a diferencia de otras linternas recargables consideramque si tiene pilas no te falla.

Much smaller than expected

This lantern is MUCH smaller than I would have expected for its original price. I should have more thoroughly checked the size and was shocked when it arrived that it looked like a play lantern for kids. I just assumed it was larger given the original price. I was going to return it but amazon is going to have me pay nearly half the price I paid for the lantern so I’m stuck keeping it.

Can get better ones

This is the equivalent of a dollar store battery operated light. You can get the same brightness with a cheap one and 3 or 4 AA batteries. This is not worth the money.

Buena lámpara, no muy buen material.

Muy buen producto. La iluminación es excelente y no molesta. El material no se siente tan resistente y de hecho, la agarradera superior, no soporto l primera noche de camping.

54 Lumens is not enough to even play cards by with more than 2 people.

I was excited to get this light but unfortunately it is not bright enought to really be effective or helpful in any situation.
