Nice for an emergency kit

I bought this to put in an emergency kit. It would be nice to have in that situation. Its sort of in between the size you would actually take or use backpacking, and something more useful for car camping/glamping. For an emergency kit though I think its awesome to have.

Small but durable

This was good for traveling. Grill is small for cooking maybe 4 small burgers. But it works very well and fast

Light weight and sturdy

Bought this for my first backpacking trip. It did it's job and didn't add much weight. I used a tyvek priority mail envelope to wrap it up so it wouldn't poke a hole in anything and wouldn't get soot on anything after use. I saw that tip in another review and it worked really well!

Backpacking Grill!

Fit well in my 60L pack for 10mile backpacking trip. Used to grill and stood up well. Had a concern of being wobbly, so I put a stone near it. Stone helped to reduce the wind but the grill was sturdy without the need of support. For the Low low $$ it was worth the little weight.

Stable and just right

For direct flame cooking, I’d prefer it be a bit higher, but piling coals under it will give you best results. Direct flames will probably burn your food and warp the metal at the same time.

Great for kebab, pans and kettles

I only gave this 4 stars but this is higher than the average of weight, sturdiness and price. This rack is invaluable if you are cooking whilst camping. It allows for two pans and can be easily moved it to hotter or cooler parts of your fire. It has warped a bit on first use but it has not compromised the integrity and I expected that.

Good bit of kit, but grill ends are rough and should be deburred.

Good, sturdy, and reasonably light weight. Good value compared to the competition. The only minus is the lack of deburring.

Essential piece of kit

I had to buy this because it is just so useful. Perfect for the wild camper or trekker as it folds flat & just slips into your pack. The grill size works well over a real camp fire or an alcohol burner. Robust, made for the job and you don't notice the weight.

Excellent bit of kit.

This is a fantastic bit of kit to have in your camping back pack. Rather than keep using your gas or solid fuel tablets to boil your kettle or cook some food you can put this over your campfire and use that in staid. Its a brilliant idea and will save me some money over the years to come as when we go camping if your there for 2 weeks you get through quite a lot of gas and solid fuel tablets esp when your cooking for 4 people. I would recommend this to any family who go camping. It will also give you a better experience of all sitting round the camp fire and cooking your food and boiling your water on the camp fire. Absolutely brilliant 10/10. Hope this helps.

Surprisingly sturdy and stronger than it looks

Was surprised by this grill, very light weight but strong and was able to hold two large pans. The height is perfect for camp fires. Does not come with a bag so you need to find something to put the grill in when you are travelling
