Does the job!
The item seems sturdy enough! There is a little wiggle from side to side at the joints, but the shelves themselves and the adhesive brackets for door mount, help to keep it secure. I do wish it had included at least two more though (perhaps they may be available for purchase separately) in my case, for the very bottom. As I mentioned, it would be nice to have more of the adhesive brackets available for added security, or for reinstallation if the shelving was to be moved to a different location. I applied mine just over the connectors for the track sections - my thinking was it would give more security at the joints. Al- in-all, it fulfilled my needs, and storage purpose for the purchase. ???????? I will probably purchase another in the future for cleaning supplies in my utility closet.

Wife loves it.
Have a small closet size pantry and put these shelves up to gain more space and it works like a charm. Wife loves it and said where has this been all my life! Hahaha

Solve the organization issue, needs better securement options
This absolutely helped to make my makeshift closet-turned-pantry dreams come true. It came with hardware to secure the rack to the door (prevent it from swinging out as you open and dropping all your spices to the ground), however, this is not appropriate for drilling into a hollow door (poor anchoring) especially when renting (hassle to patch later). I am currently experimenting with elastic and removal adhesion alternatives.

This solved a lot of storage problems for me.
Works great on the back of a door. Wire shelves can't accumulate dirt. Shelves aren't flimsy. Things are visible and not lost in drawers.

I made it work, but Closetmaid could have done a lot better.
I didn't realize when I bought it, but you are expected to attach the door rack to the door with screws. Apparently, just hanging it over the door by the brackets is not sufficient. I didn't want to do that. Also, each of the 2 columns is in 3 parts and are attached loosely by a little bracket. This only works if you use the screws to attach it to the door, and honestly the brackets then become obsolete. I started to send it back and then found a few solutions. I widened one end of a column piece and used pliers to narrow the end of another so it would fit inside the one I widened and then used a screw and bolt to attach the 2 together. Since each column has 3 parts, I did this 4 times for the 2 columns. I searched Amazon for some over the door brackets since the ones included were too small for a 2" door. I ordered a set of 2 Office Cubical Whiteboard brackets which work perfectly. This now functions the way I expected it to when I ordered it, but I would have expected it would have been made this way.

Love it!
My walk in closet is on the narrow side, so I had a custom closet guy come out. I asked for the lowest end closet system he carried ($1,400!). I paid $300 total by installing everything myself. I installed everything before lunch! HA! I am sort of handy, but not professional by any stretch of the imagination. The shoe rack can hang over a door, or in my case, can be screwed into a wall. It comes with wall anchors. The rack feels sturdy and I loaded it up with my shoes. I am a woman who wears size 8.5. For a man, you may need to loose a row to accommodate larger shoes. Its totally adjustable and you can get various hooks and baskets to fit onto the rack system. I bought two of these shoe racks here on Amazon, and the closet system is "Easy Track" from Lowes. Now I feel like I am shopping in a high end boutique every time I walk into my closet. SO glad I didn't pay $1,400.

Missing parts, lousy customer service, "free slide" closet rods don't work very well.
There is supposed to be a set of four self-adhering brackets with these, mine were missing. I contacted Closet Maid and politely requested they send the missing parts. I also asked if they could send a 2nd set of four, as this is being mounted on a pantry door, this common application clearly needs more than four of these adhesive brackets to hold it tight to the door when it swings open and closed. I didn't want to drive any screws into the hollow core pantry door in order to keep these baskets from banging around, or the 3 piece rails from jumping off their joining hooks when the door gets opened. Customer Service wasn't very friendly or cooperative, they demanded a needlessly annoying level of proof of purchase, which I did provide for them. Over two hours of my time was needed... bear in mind this was their mistake. They didn't comment on my request for the extra set, but finally agreed to send the missing parts. When the parts arrived, instead of sending two sets of four (or even a single set of four) they instead sent only two individual brackets... grrrr! The Free Slide rods only work properly with chunky larger diameter plastic clothes hangers. Smaller diameter plastic hangers and any wire top hangers, including nice high quality ones for hanging suits and slacks, get hung up when trying to slide them over the rod supports. While it's better then their standard rods, it's still a poor design. I'd previously built three very elaborate custom bedroom closets, plus had recently installed about 150 linier feet of Closet Maid shelving on other projects. Aside from the "Free Slide" issue I generally like their products, but to be treated in such an unfriendly, and abysmally inept manner, especially after being a great customer for so long... it's not ok. I'll be looking at other brands such as Rubbermaid for my future needs.

Very glad I opted for ClosetMaid, instead of an unknown brand.
After a little fussing in the beginning and the rack is up and in place, behind my bedroom door, I am as pleased as can possibly be. Finally can see all my spring shoes in one place, with no more digging through closed boxes, stacked on top of a shelf. Simple, straightforward design and although I can only use seven of the eight racks, for size 8.5 shoes, this is a hundred times better than any other solution and does not take up any extra floor or closet space. Assembly was easy and also pleased with the hardware for wall or door hanging. Also like the self-adhesive clips, that helps keep the rack in place. I did add six extra, small screws, in between the slots not being used, for added stability. I spent several days looking at all options and the adjustability and options for this one sold me. Definitely made the right choice.

Sneaker Head MUST HAVE!!
If you're a sneaker head like me and you actually wear your shoes you 100% need this! I purchased 2 of these to hold my "daily's) shoes I wear on the regular and it saved me sooooo much room. people also always comment on them because of the way they're displayed. I will however say that if you have a lot of "high tops" this may not be the thing for you as i find "High Tops" and boots don't really sit\fit properly.

Love that this maximizes my pantry storage!
This is a great option for maximizing the storage space in the pantry. Wish it had sides on the shelves to allow storage for smaller items but it works great for tetra packs, large spice containers and bottles. I used the no screw option and used the sticky things to cinch to the door but recently they have started falling off so it now bangs when I close the door will be trying some 3M double sided tape to see if this will adhere to the door better.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS RACK!!!!
I attached this rack to our pantry door and we find it really useful and practical. The only thing I'd mention is that the sticky clips that came with this product did NOT keep the bottom of this rack flush with the inside of the door - hence the loss of one star! So . . . I used a wide tape to do this, otherwise the bottom of the rack would not sit flush with the door and items would fall out!

Easy installation
Gave us a ton of storage, mounted right to the inside of the pantry door

The product does the job ok. It is a little flimsy when shoes are on it
