1st one scratched up replacement great

Bought this for a gift and upon receiving it noticed packaging wasn’t sealed. Inspected the solar light which has numerous scratches and imperfections. Very disappointed in this purchase. Requested a replacement for damaged one and the second one arrived in perfect condition.

ATTACHMENT SCREWS TOO SHORT!

The post cap lights have a sturdy metal frame with plastic light parts. The solar powered LED lights are quite bright. They were packaged well in pop open, plastic clam shell. They look "classy" and I am confident in hoping they have long life. The only complaint I have is the accompanying screws, used to secure the lights to the posts, are way too small and short. They do not penetrate the wood posts deep enough to hold the caps on securely. I had to purchase larger, longer screws. The manufacturer should remedy this to have a 5 star product.

Very solid and functional solar-recharging light and low-profile post-cap

Post caps with solar charging lamps are easy to find, but not good ones. This style is better than most because it is made of heavy guage alumnium with a thick paint, not plastic. It is also low profile: others found often extend several inches above the post top. I tested them off the post for a day to see if they would light and recharge, and they worked great. Turning on the units before installing them did not work well. This is because pushing and turning the top part to get to the switch requires the base to be firmly anchored to get the correct leverage. Once I figured this out I temporarily placed it on a post to do the twist. The wimpy soft metal screws provided to anchor the caps are barely sufficient and there are only two. Consider that you may need longer screws made of better metal. It is too bad there are not a greater variety of styles that use the same materials and have the low profile, but these should work out fine.

Very nice light, super easy to install, but maybe a little too bright...

This is a very nice light. Its made of metal. I was super easy to install. Took all of about 45 seconds. Open box, twist light, place adapter, place light, screw 2 screws and your done. I bought four. The design is clean and looks great on my "4" x 4"" pressure treated posts, which are actually 3 1/2" x 3 1/2". My dilemma is not the quality of product but how bright it is. I have other soft white solar lights on my walkway near these lights. These lights are very bright white. The stark difference between bright white and soft white may be a little too much for me. They've only been up one night so far. I think I will give it a few nights before making a decision to return or not. I really don't want to return because they are quality lights and fit perfect. Most of the other ones seem like crap. So if you want a bright light, this is the one.

Great product, these are far from junk, they are higher quality, have a great luck, and function very well. Comes with an adapter for a true 4 x 4 mount or your common 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 mount. Highly Recommended

Purchased Two, Only one works after a year

Originally purchased these back in April of 2021. The aluminum construction is excellent. The white light is too white in the color spectrum and the illumination comes from a single led light. I prefer a warmer white color. They are easy to install and just as easy to uninstall. After about a year one of the lights stopped working. I contacted support and was told that I would need to purchase a new light top.

Nice Solar Post Lights

I installed 8 of these lights on my front entry deck and they have worked for two full seasons in Colorado. The only issues have been the batteries lasting 6-9 months before needing to be replaced, replacing the screws with longer stainless steel ones , rust on the inside screws, and the fading of black covers from the sun. But otherwise they have worked fine without having to take them in, in the winter. Keep in mind I live above 6500 ft and the sun is stronger and air is thinner, therefore; harder on the paint. I will probably repaint and see how much longer they last outside. The way the unit is built does keep moisture away from the electronics. You will see when you take the cover off. All electronics are on the top and there is a reflection pan on the bottom. The LED bulb does not touch the bottom of the pan and goes down about to bottom of the lens if your worried a short. Depending upon the power of the battery you use will determine the brightness of the LED light and duration. I replaced with 1000 Mah NiCad.

Nice lights

I bought 2 of these lights for our aluminum 4x4 gate posts. The lights wouldn’t just slide over the posts due to heavy powder coating on the posts. I had to disassemble the lights which was easily done by removing 4 screws CD and place the light base on the post and gently tap into place with a block of wood and a hammer. I then reassembled the lights. 15 minute job. The lights charge ok and stay bright all thru the night. Would buy again.

Bulbs burn out after a few years.

These solar deck post lights are very stylish and externally robust. They come on at dusk and last most of the night and are just the right brightness. However, the little bulbs inside burn out after a few years. I have much cheaper solar garden lights which last much longer.

Unfortunately it never worked

I left it outside in a sunny spot for days and even changed the battery and it never did light up. It did look nice and would have been very easy to install. I guess I just got a defective one.

Way TOO Expensive

For the price, I thought there were 2 lights in this order. I was surprised when I opened the package and there was only one. Plus, I HAD TO PAY the postage to have it returned. High cost, little value. Found 2 lights at another vendor for the same price as this one. Don't waste your money. ADDENDUM: Just returned from the Post Office - it COST ME $16.95 to return this item to the seller! There is no mention that the purchaser will be charged for returns

Outdoor post lights

Theses lights are well constructed and made from aluminum . The lighting that comes off them is perfect. After 2 seasons I did have to replace the rechargeable batteries only because a couple ofblights would not last the whole night .
