Decent solar lamp when can't run electricity

Recent bought this lamp for the middle of our driveway as it is pretty dark in the middle and we have had a few incidents of drivers going off as they back out. With the ez anchor figured this was a better option than trying to deal with a planter box or the trouble of having an electrician run cable and figuring connecting into the house etc. Assembly is pretty easy, a few headaches with the base and the anchor just given the angle and size of screws used. However, once in they are pretty sturdy with each other. Getting it into the ground is easy enough, a bit of trouble at the end due to some rough dirt, but it's manageable. The level bubble is helpful to keep it level while installing. The option of a second battery is a real boon and may look into that later. The two modes of summer and winter are also helpful depending on if you want brighter light or longer lasting light. The one concern I have is given that the pole itself is plastic and hollow plastic at that I wonder how it will fair on heavily windy days so that remains to be seen but I am hopefully it'll last.

Solar light

It is taller than I thought, but I like it. The brightness isn't as good as I would have liked; tried both the "winter" and "summer" settings, and didn't see much different. Perhaps if adding another light as suggested would make it brighter. Overall, though, happy with purchase.

130 Lumens is very dim

The lamp post was easy to construct and install. You can see a glow from the light but it doesn't reach anywhere (e.g., the ground directly below the lamp post is not illuminated). If I were purchasing again, I would buy something with at least twice the lumens.

Outdoor Lamp and Post

This lamp and post has a great look. I bought it replace my old one. Even in a sunny location, the lamps only stays lit for about 4 hours.

Nice light

The light and construction of the light is perfect. The install is easy but I had a hard time with going into the ground and being secure. So you might have to do initial drilling into the yard before you can use the spiral if you have a clay or hard soil. I was expecting more bright light but for a small area it does the purpose. So far I am happy with it.

Nice light but...

This light was not difficult to put together, EXCEPT for one area... w When assembling the light fixture to the base, the screws were so small, I could not find the specific screw driver to get the screws properly secure. other than that the ight is very nice, looks great...

Beware

The light doesn't come with the sakes in the ground to secure in the ground junk.the light on websites show a different light it's Gs-975p shows the with sakes. If you're not looking at it. You think buying the one with the sakes. Watch out

Nice yard accent

This solar lamp post is a nice yard accent and produces nice light. I only use this lamp post as a seasonal item in summer time and take it apart to store away for winter. The lamp's battery is charged during the day and turns on at dusk, and quite amazed it does stay lit all night even on its one battery it came with. There is an option to have two batteries inside the housing. The batteries are not your typical batteries you pick off the shelf. These ones are specialty with wire leads, and only available for purchase, I think, from either Amazon or a department store that sells these lamps. There are a couple of flaws I've noticed. One is the lamp post is somewhat wobbly when installed in ground, so I don't recommend hanging anything with weight on the lamp post. Also during the summer heat on a sunny day, I sure notice the post sections will bend due to the heat and makes the whole lamp crooked. When the day becomes cooler, it does straighten out. Overall, I'm pleased with this product.

Impressed with light it emits

Having purchased a solar lamp post almost 8 years ago, this lights is many miles ahead. It has two settings, winter and summer. So far, the light has stayed on from dusk to dawn while my old one was lucky to make it past 8 hours. The post itself could be made with sturdier quality material but it did survive a high wind/rain (80km/h) storm last night so I won't be too critical. A lot cheaper than running wire, installing a post and lamp then paying hydro to run it.

Amazing Light

This lantern is very good quality, very elegant, easy to assemble and gives great light. Amazon had to replace the top lantern as it was broken. It took me a maximum of 5 minutes to report the damage and get my return label for free postage return, and the new light was delivered the next day!! Very, very pleased with the light and the great service from Amazon. Thanks Amazon!!!!!

bad choice for solar lamp

this is the second one that is not working. Been in full light for few days and NTHING. I wish I could give big fat zero. Don't even know if battery is bad, as there are NONE in stock to buy it. May be internal problem. update : sent an email to Sonic about problems with both lamps - week passed and NO answer, this company is a joke

Great solar light

Very easy to assemble , looks great and shines quite brightly for a solar light . Happy with purchase so far .
