1 Star reviews are mostly wrong.
I have owned snap on adjustable wrenches, and I have owned the cheapest of the cheap. This is ABSOLUTELY the best bang for the buck in adjustable wrenches. Lets be honest, if you're trying to really tighten things down, use the proper wrench! If you need the quick adjustable wrench, I promise you, minus any manufacturing flaws, that this is THE BEST 8" adjustable wrench you will ever own. Its a fit all too. Keep that in mind. It opens WIDE, carries in your bag or pocket easy enough. Its the quick tool to grab to get the job done. I read the 1 star reviews, mostly a bunch of pretentious mechanics expecting this wrench to tighten the bolt for them and give them a $100 value for less than half the price. WELL, I'm a mechanic also, and if I hadn't have lost my first one ... I would still be on my second one. I kinda went Hulk-Smash on the handle on a 24mm bolt head and after a lot of smash, I snapped the slide portion off. I sure as hell won't ding a product for not putting up with the abuse it wasn't meant to be subjected to. Con. While I love the handle, it will not hold up to long term exposure to diesel and brake clean. I'm on my third one after losing, and then breaking one. So far this one is doing well, but i keep my tools clean. I really think it was my cleaning the handle with brake cleaner that ruined my first handle. Read the 1 and 2 star reviews, of course a bad quality control is warranted a bad review, but don't let the "I'm a mechanic and my word means more than yours" reviews deter you from a decent adjustable wrench.

Fantastic feel and quality, not the most durable
This is a great wrench - the adjustment action is smooth and precise - BUT - there is a bit of play in the system - not enough to be a problem but it still jiggles like any other adjustable wrench. And more importantly, I left dents in the metal the first time I used them to tighten down a strut in my car. The nut left fairly large indentations along the edge of the wrench jaws - expected harder steel for the price.

Perfect for all applications, but priceless for tight spaces
These are thin-jawed channellocks, which work for any of your day-to-day nuts and bolts and for gripping things. But where they really shine is in those times where you have a shallow fastener that you need to handle. These are found in the most inconvenient of places, such as: automotive battery terminals; muzzle devices; hot water heater sensors; etc. Places that you wouldn't think to bring a special wrench for. There is NO substitute for having one of these around. I spent an hour in frustration with a skinny nut that I couldn't get to.... I had to set the project aside and order this wrench. Once it arrived, the project was completed in 2 minutes with no swearing, no upset, and no lost parts! Honestly, you might end up using this more than your standard thickness ones, as it's durable enough to take a beating! Highly recommended.

Very helpful for installing faucets
For some reason, the plumbing industry tends to put huge nuts on the threaded parts of faucets. Regular adjustable wrenches don't open far enough or are of such overall large size they won't fit under a sink. This wrench opens up to a bit over 1 1/2" and will work in many situations where a standard adjustable wrench won't. I've also found a lot of other applications on motorcycles and cars where regular adjustables won't work. These wrenches open to more than 38mm which covers a lot of oddball fasteners. It's worth having one of these in your tool box.

I mean what do I even need to say? 5/5

Pricey but solid
No quote "wandering Jaws" here. A firm and precise grip makes this a worthwhile investment.

Great wrench to replace my old clunkers!
I thought about getting this wrench for a while and finally decided to bite. Glad I did! It is so much easier to use than my old clunky ones. Highly recommended.

I would be in deep water without it
Modern designer faucets can look nice but are not designed to be worked on with standard tools. During a repair, I found myself in a situation with no solution to be found in my garage and I have hundreds of tools. I was just about to grind down a Crescent wrench but then I found this. It was perfect and I totally get why Channellock makes it. It seems to hold its place well which has always been a problem with adjustable wrenches. I will likely never use it again but it was worth it. I say never use it again because for larger jobs I would use a tradition wrench you can wail on with a hammer if you have to. Not saying this isn’t strong but why risk a hammer on it when you don’t have to?

First set faulty but unlucky defect, second set more than perfect.
Looks good, feels nice, but gets completely jammed while adjusting jaw size. A real shame I have loads of USA equipment but this has put me off a little. Going to order another one and see if it was just a one off manufacturing issue. Will update after I receive the next one . I did pass this feedback to the European Channellock rep and he was more than extremely helpful so that’s why I decided to give it another go as I have had many of there tools over the years with no issues and they are still some of my favourite hand tools to this day. Second set where absolutely perfect and the customer service from the rep was better than I have ever experienced in a situation like this. Looks like I will be sticking with Channellock tools.

Drop forged CrV tool steel
Very well made quality tool. Similar feel to Gedor, Britool and other good mechanics tools. Closes nicely to zero (see photo) smooth easy operation, no chance of slipping. Good rubberised grip. Generally great feel and easy one handed operation in a tight spot. Negatives: Finish is not as good as the top brands, burring which prevented fully closing and a tiny rust spot (see photos) both easily fixed. Handle logo inset will gather dirt over time.

UAS build quality....although built in Spain?
I've recently bought a few Channellock tools and find them to be very reliable at their price point. They're not always US made, but the QC and durability is worth a look.

Worth paying the extra for
This is a quality tool well designed and made, large and long reach jaws, precision adjustment, easy to use and worth paying the extra.

This spanner is used subsea on oilpipelines...it works.
Ive had this tool for 5 years now( I had a pair i bought this one to replace one missing). I use them subsea in the middle east which has high salt water content..and they don't rust. They have stayed true to form and been some of the best tools a Technician can have offshore. I especially love the wide grip, the thin face, and if you remove the blue handle the spanner is REALLY small and fits great into tight places.
