This is for when you need a longer USB cable.

Recently I purchased a large USB hub for my computer system. Sadly, its USB cord to be connected to the back of the computer was short and needed some help. That's where this extension cable helps. It looks nice and does the job just fine.

Works well

Works as advertised. I 3d printed a little case for under my desk and plugged into my computer. I use it for thumb drives or for my controller when I game. Doesn't charge well through the computer (obviously) and I haven't tried to plug it into an outlet. I'm sure it would work fine though. All in all its nice to have a quick usb within reach.

Fast data transfer

I ordered these to replace some slower USB 1.1 and 2.0 cables. The faster data transfer speeds are time savers for large file transfers.

have power but no Signal

this cable can’t be used for usb speaker possible ，it has power but no signal, you can’t detect the USB speaker on your windows system, i Connect this cable from creative pebble v3 on they USB-C to A adapter ,and i hope AMZ will made the 10G and 20G extension cables

Very thick cable, works great

These cables are very thick. I bought them for the kids Kindle Fire chargers and they work very well, allowing the kids to charge while sitting on the couch, riding in the car, etc.

Perfect for Xbox, PlayStation controllers!!!

If you are Into gaming then you know Xbox and PlayStation controllers won’t work with cheap extensions. This works flawlessly, with plenty of slack!!! 10 out of 10 must try again

Gen 2 USB 3.1 speeds

While 6 of them are doing usb 2.0 job, the other are on USB 3.1. Transfer top speed 916MB/s from ramdisk, all other devices that I have are capping under the cables capabilities. So the cables are good enough for the gen 2 in my opinion, despite the length.

Could not use for charging cables

Bought to extend a charging cable but wouldn't work. Tries another from the box and had the same problem. Returned.

Works perfectly with Oculus Rift sensors

I purchased this 2m USB 3 extension to extend one of my Oculus Rift sensors and it works perfectly. The Oculus Rift sensors are notoriously fussy with their USB connections so it's a relief to know that this cable works fine and there is no poor tracking quality or lost frames being reported. I also plugged in my USB 3 Samsung SSD in and tested/benchmarked that too and there was no drop in performance. Like most other Amazon Basics cables I've purchased before they seem to be well made and feel fairly robust. This particular cable is a passive extension (so there is no repeater/amplifier inline) so there is very little to go wrong with it really. Very happy and highly recommended.

When your USB lead is not long enough this is so useful

Sometimes you find that the USB lead supplied with a device is just not long enough. Not a problem most of the time that happens, you just replace with a longer lead (Amazon sells a few of them ;) ). But what about those times when the lead is physically attached to the device so you can't just swap it out? That is where this comes in so handy! It is USB 3.0 (super fast data transfer speeds are kept if applicable) and simply acts as an extension cable. Quality appears to be fine and my experience with Amazon Basics products suggests it will last well. Overall, it is a niche product, but when required it is brilliant! Totally recommended.
