It actually fits a 16" wheel kids bike!
I am normally too lazy to leave reviews of anything that I buy online, but I'm making an exception in this case because this kickstand is excellent for kids bikes with 16" wheels, and those are hard to find. My son rides a Schwinn Koen with 16" wheels, and like most kids bikes that size it comes without a kickstand because they expect you to be using training wheels. My son had a balance bike to noodle around on prior to this one, plus a tricycle to pedal, so he'd already figured out balance and pedaling before he got his bike. He was riding it within 20 minutes of getting it on Xmas day, and I never put the training wheels on it. Looking for a kickstand for it, Schwinn website didn't have one, and every other kickstand I found that said it fit 16" wheel bikes had multiple customer reviews saying that this wasn't actually the case. I found this one and gave it a try, installed it today and it works perfectly! Bike frame geometry varies, so take note of the distance between bottom of the bike frame (at the kickstand mount point), and the ground. Look in the product images for various kickstands you find, which will include a graphic that shows what that height must be in order for that kickstand to work. Two minor gripes: 1) On my son's bike, the tip of the kickstand touches the frame just a little bit when you put it up. Your mileage will vary on this, depending on the exact geometry of the frame of the bike you're mounting it on. I solved this pretty readily by taking a little bit of foam padding (packaging for the unused training wheels that came with the bike) and duct taping it around the point of the frame where the tip was touching, so that it's padded now. See pix included with this review. 2) Came with no installation instructions whatsoever. I included a whole bunch of pix of the installation I did, which may or may not be correct, but does seem to work. Needs a 9/16 inch wrench or socket wrench for installation into the kickstand center mount that my kids bike comes with. I noticed some other reviewed noted that the kickstand is hard to move. It is on the hard side, but my 5-year-old is able to do it with his foot, for what that's worth. Overall, an excellent short little kickstand for short little bikes. Especially nice given that those are so hard to find.

Not a good fit for Specialized Hot Rock 16"
Contrary to some other reviews, this product is not a good fit for the Hot Rock 16", for two reasons. One, it's just a tad too long, the bike stands almost vertical, so any slope or disturbance will knock it over. Two, the mounting mechanism isn't compatible. This stand uses a carriage bolt going upward through the frame, rather than a threaded hole to receive a bolt going down. The Hot Rock has a welded-on mounting plate, but the space between the frame tubes is too narrow above it to get a socket over the nut to fasten the kickstand (also the bolt is too long for a socket), and there's no clearance for a crescent wrench. But if you try to use the included mounting plate, the bolt is too short, because of the welded mounting plate on the bottom, and even without the washer, you can't engage enough thread to get the bolt to extend beyond the nut. I'll hold on to this for now, as it's still better than the other stands I've tried, but will be returning it if I can find something that fits correctly.

May be short for your bike.
Price was fair and delivery swift. However, the stand was a little short so I had to put a shim in the mounting area to make it longer. I ordered a 20 in for a 20 in bike.

Too small for size recommend go bigger
The quality of the actual kickstand is great. The size is the issue. I bought the kickstand for kids 16" bike. Was way too short and would lean the bike and wouldn't stand up. I had to add a square 1.5 inch spacer at the base to make it work perfectly. See attached pictires. So would suggest the seller to review the size recommendations. For a 16" kids bike would need to order a kickstand for a 17' or more to make it work correctly.

16 inch stand too short for a Walmart kids bike
I purchased this for my son's Walmart Boys Rocket Bike which has 16" wheels. The kickstand is very sturdy but is too short to hold the bike up straight. It holds up on perfectly flat concrete but not lawn, gravel or slanted surfaces. It appears to be about 1 inch too short. I appreciate the refund policy which does not cover shipping but would have preferred to know in advance that the stand would not work for a common department store bike. The issue is that these bikes come with training wheels and once they are off the bike lays on its side. I will probably try to fabricate a spacer rather than pay to ship the stand back and have nothing that fits.

Definitely measure frame.
I’d say definitely measure the height of frame from ground. It’s pretty short for the 16” bike I installed it on. Definitely a good value if it works on different bikes.

Well built and great quality. Bolts are too short though.
Like others have said, the bolts they supply are too short and I can’t put in the lock washer. Now I have to go to the hardware store and buy a longer bolt which I shouldn’t have to do. On the positive side. It is a nice and sturdy kick stand and is good quality for the money.

Great classic kickstand
After taking the training wheels off my kid's bike (and that bike not having come with a kickstand...), I was looking for a classic center mount kickstand. This are surprising hard to find. This one mounted onto my kid's 16" bike easily, and it works great. We've only had it on for about a week, and it's still pretty stiff (it takes a couple of tries for my 5 year old to kick it up with his foot). The spring is very strong, so it stays in whatever position you put it.
