Nice semi heavy box with what looks like a good seal. I would have liked it to have a handle, but that's okay. It's plenty big inside to store full size paperwork. The lock looks like something to keep your friends and family out, but maybe it's tougher than it looks. It's about what I expected for the price and I'd buy another one if I needed it.

Worth It
Just what I wanted. Papers lay in the safe perfectly and don't curl up. Good value. Have had SentrySafe products before. Recommend.

First impressions: It weighs a ton and was covered in cement dust (?). Its a solid unit and I assume it has a concrete core. After I cleaned the exterior, I admired the macho honeycomb exterior pattern. I almost went mad trying to open and close it until I discovered the visual directions on this web page. The trick is pushing the lid down at the proper time. The release handle is cheap plastic and could possibly break in the future. I was missing the two or three straps that it is supposed to come with. When closed there is a 1/8" gap between the top and bottom sections which kind of bothered me. The rubber seal looks ok though. The support phone numbers inside the safe were not in service. I contacted Amazon and they were very helpful. It would have helped if there were instructions, contact and warranty information included.

Does the trick for things you want kept private, though not necessarily secure
Hasn’t been tested it in ‘adverse conditions’ and hope it never is, but for storing papers and small valuables, it’s a good size. Of course, anyone who wants to get into any safe eventually will, but this unit is heavy enough that, if secured out of sight, it will likely be left for more easily moved objects. The lock, however, can be easily jammed/damaged by a malicious party try making the contents difficult to access.

Unit needs redesigning
For durability I fault the closing mechanism that's made out of plastic and is rather flimsy. Water resistance I cannot comment since it's not been in a fire or water. The lack of a carrying handle is also a minus in my opinion. Not having one is stupid since the unit is light enough to be portable and therefore not user friendly.

not good
the lock was fine the first time we locked it but now it doesn't work at all, we cannot get the key to close/lock the safe. its too heavy to send back so we are stuck with a safe that isn't safe.
