Suitable for Wandering Elder with Dementia
Purchased this to block front entrance so that our elder family member with mild dementia does not wander out of the house. We like that it is a stand-alone barrier with a good weight, sturdy but not too heavy, so others can slide to the side when entering/exiting. Good height, not too low, not too high. We affixed a "no exit" sign which our elder reads and heeds. Elegant solution as it does not look like a typical pet/baby gate.

Works great with some flaws
Have two gates and boy are great! However first day of use both had one latch break and come loose with no harsh pressure while closing. Gates still function, but screws are getting loose over time, may require wood glue to secure.

Dog Safety Gate !!!
I purchased this item used but, I could not tell that it was used, it looked brand new and this item was fairly easy to assemble. It arrived exactly how it was described online so I am very satisfied with it. I give this item a 10 out of 10.

Sturdy
It's sturdy but what I found with my dogs is that they are able to use their nose to move either side they want to and get through. We bought it primarily so we could eat in peace while watching TV. Perhaps the manufacturer could figure out a way to close the gap. Maybe get rid of the two-inch protrusion at the bottom brace. Seems unnecessary.

Pet gate
We needed something that didn’t have a bar on the floor that humans had to step over and also not attached to the wall. This has worked out great for us so far.

70 " tall pet gate!
I love our new pet gate. So much better than the one we had before. Just perfect for fitting in doorways to keep our dog away from people he doesn't know. So happy I ordered this gate. It's wonderful!

Great Free Standing Gate
First off I am writing my review after purchasing a second gate. So that should give you an idea on how much I loved this product. We mainly use ours to block out stairs on the upper level, but we were moving this gate around a lot so time for #2. We have a new rescue who likes to scratch the floor to ceiling window we have. Replacing this would be a major expense so we are going to use this gate to keep him away from the window. This is a sturdy unit we have had up to 3 very energetic hunting dogs in our home and it has stood up extremely well over the years. We let the dogs watch squirrel TV on YouTube so we use this to keep them back from the TV it keeps my dogs from jumping at the screen. If they do jump they won’t be close enough to damage anything. I give these gates 5 out of 5. I highly recommend them.

Attractive, easy to assemble and install, but our dog has figured out how to open it
This has an attractive wood grain finish and is easy to assemble and install. It's also very portable and can be adjusted to fit a variety of openings. But that portability and lack of a need for mounting hardware comes at a price. Our mid-sized dog, which has never met a door she doesn't want to open, very quickly learned that she could stick her nose around the end of the gate and push it open. In one doorway, which has grooves where there used to be French doors, we have been able to jam the ends of the gate into those grooves, which seems to work. I also placed a dining-room chair against the dog's side of the gate, and the extra weight and inertia was too much for her nose to overcome. A very good product nonetheless.

Perfect for the porch!
I have 2 small dogs. I bought this so I could sit on my front porch with them. Looks great too. Neighbours have complimented it. Slides easily back together and sits nicely inside my house at the front door.

Terrible quality. Safety hazard.
0 stars. Cannot understand all these good reviews for the life of me. This thing is terrible quality - it fell apart almost immediately. It will not stay together no matter what I do - gorilla glue can’t even save it. Anytime we go to move it ever so slightly, it all breaks apart. Total safety hazard as it can easily crash down on a child or pet. Straight to the garbage it goes. Absolute waste of money.
