Nice surfaces

This is high quality. The grip is not completely gnurled, which is fine if you don't love having calluses on every digit. The rubber is pretty easy to hold and was resilient enough to survive the shipping unscathed. My condolences to the delivery guy. I wouldn't normally order a 40lb chunk of metal but this was the best deal.

I haven't exactly weighed this yet for 50lbs but...

It matches my other one rubber 50lb dumbbell so now I can do chest press on my bench more often. No more gym distractions no more quarantine that doesn't let me exercise and workout for my health. No a lot of healthy things in the world these days, it's up to us to workout and stay for as best as we know how. Either exercise and guide your health or don't and let the doctors medicate you up with all their wonder's from their pharmacy and clinic's. I'll choose my exercise, I don't do well when people tell me how to be healthy ;)

Buy with confidence

If you have been looking for dumbbells and have read some of the reviews and horror stories like I did, you will want to buy these. So, I ordered two 40lb dumbbells and they came as follows: 1 weight wrapped in bubblewrap, then laid in the box in foam, sealed in a cardboard box, and placed in another outer box for protection and sturdiness while shipping. Both came the same way, perfect condition, not a mark on them, exactly the same size, with NO smell, or Oily residue all over them. You could have laid them on my white couch without a worry. Be confident and get these from the brand name CAP.

What the HEX!

It's a 40 lb dumbell. It's purpose is to be lifted. So I lift it, then put it down... lift it... put it down.. Sounds pretty boring right? WRONG!! Soon I will be able to life ALL THE DUMBELLS!! MUAHAHAHA!!! p.s. these things are so not dumb, or bells.

It’s perfect.

I bought a similar weight to this one at Walmart and couldn’t find another until this arrived. It’s exactly like my other one and it’s great quality. Good buy!

Great weight, weird powder

So first off the weights themselves are great, accurate weight and one of the most comfortable handles I've had on a dumbbell, love that. But the boxes the two I ordered came in were DESTROYED (a problem with shipping, not the company I'm sure), but the edges of these dumbbells that are coated in rubber were split open on the ends, and in the splits were some weird black powder that stained everything it touched, and no amount of wiping it away would work. Eventually I sprayed some spray on rubber on the ends and sealed it up, now they're just fine, perfect weights.

Heavy

These dumbbells are great. I use them in an outdoor boot camp as my primary weight, so they see use about 5 times a week. Covering has held up great so far after about a month of use on concrete and asphalt. Only dislike is the grips as they can get a bit slippery when things get sweaty, but the only handles I found that perform better are the thinner, rubber coated handles.

Great price, Great addition to your home gym!!

When the price is right, you have to take advantage. These DBs are a great addition to my home gym. They are solid and arrived in a decent timeframe. I was very happy with the ordering and delivery experience.

I like the 'grip' area that makes it easier to hang on to the weight. Mine did have a distinctive smell, and I want to keep them in my kitchen as I have to use them several times a day, but right now they are outside on my deck to get rid of the smell (which is slowwwwwwly fading). The label on them said "CAP" but the word Cap is not on the weights anywhere, so I don't know if these are genuine or not. Still, they will do the job once the smell is gone.
