Very realistic candle, love the candle but hate the remote

I am really torn about this beautiful candle. I ordered 4x6 size of this candle first. That initial order I put in arrived and I inserted two C batteries and it started working right away. The actual flame movement and the light fluctuations were really very realistic, nothing like typical fake candles. Candle itself was made of wax which added to its realistic look. Looking at it from a distance it is really hard for someone to know that it is not a real candle right away. That was very exciting and I thought what a great product. However, after checking out the remote which felt really cheap, it only worked until I turned off the candle with the remote and the remote failed for good. No matter what I did, including replacing the battery, remote would not work. So, yes you can turn on the candle from the button underneath but cannot control the brightness, flame type and the timer since remote was dead. So, I exchanged it through Amazon and the replacement works beautifully. We loved it so much (even though the remote is still very low quality), we went ordered the bigger size (4x10) of the same candle for our house. Candle itself is totally worth it but be prepared to be disappointed with the remote. Would I buy more, yes, but I still don’t understand why the manufacturer opted to have such a low quality remote for such a beautifully constructed candle.

Impressive in several respects

In my other reviews of these candles, I have said I have three of these candles, each a different size which allows a nice grouping. Well, I now have four., in yet another matching size. These are huge, compared to most flameless candles, but a grouping of them can create a very pleasing look—though probably as an independent decorative focus viewed from a little distance, rather than as a tabletop accessory. Visually and to one’s touch, they have the qualities of an actual candle. None of my many Flameless candles look more realistic. These take two C size batters, which allow for longer run times than either of the smaller batteries. As with other sizes from this seller, there is one weakness these share with some, but not most, flameless candles. The batteries are mounted vertically relying on the access door, with its two small tabs to keep the batteries secure against spring pressure. This is an adequate but fragile method of containment, that has failed on some of my oldest candles of this type. If the door becomes broken, the batteries can no longer be contained—unless some complicated repairs are made by drilling into the body and installing a self tapping screw and washer to make up for the broken tabs.

Lifelike candle glow

Beautiful and large candle. Very lifelike and soft lighting just like a real candle but much safer. I really like the remote feature as well because it is convenient and easy to use. This is a large candle so it does require 2 C batteries but they do last longer. Highly recommend!

Stunningly Realistic

My wife came into the family room, saw the candle and asked: Why are you burning a candle this afternoon? I said: I’m not. She walked over to blow it out and couldn’t believe it wasn’t real. Love the remote and the waxy exterior totally makes it appear real.

Best of a Candle

4" diameter x 10" tall. Unlit it is plain white. Lit it is a softer cream like color. Takes 2 C batteries and comes with a remote. Flame action appears very realistic and the glow emanating from it is very authentic and warming. Very impressed at how well these LED candles can mimic the real thing so closely.

Very pretty light

I really like this candle. I feel safe using this around my dogs without worrying that it will get knocked over or that I will forget to blow out a candle. Great idea.

Great LED Candle that looks as real as they come! The low rating is the damage mine came with.

I was pleased to see the good quality of these Candles but the wax on top has deep groves that do NOT look good. Other than that I think these are the best looking LED Candles I've seen so far. The (2) "C" Size Batteries last a long time compared to AA and AAA Batteries.
