So easy to use.
Although I have several hens to set on and hatch my eggs most times earlier in the year none are broody so you will need to have a incubator. I have a few home made models that work great but just got tired of hand turning several times a day so I got this Brinsea model. I use the Brinsea as a setter and I bought 2 Nurture Right 360's as hatchers. My first 2 hatches were not what I was hoping for (around 60%) but since then this set up has been working really good.It's set to turn eggs every hour (the more the eggs are turned the stronger the embryo will be) I love the automatic humidity pump, I keep that at 50%. Of course when they go in the hatchers I raise it around 65%. Anyone wanting a good incubator should try Brisnea.

Good automatic machine
We’ve used our incubator a handful of times for chickens. Some things I’ve observed: lid needs to be sealed with tape to maintain proper humidity, humidity spikes during hatch and isn’t able to be regulated without constantly opening the lid, the lid is poorly designed and needs to be disassembled to clean.

Great automatic incubator
We were using the cheap foam incubators prior to purchasing this. They were so hard to regulate the temperature and especially the humanity. We upgraded to this and our hatch rate has more than doubled. We have only used it for chicken eggs and during the last 3 days (lock down, not turning) we move the eggs to the styrofoam incubators to hatch so we don’t get this one dirty then we have been refill it then too. Really pleased with this incubator.

Absolutely amazing
Investing in this quality incubator changed our hatch rate instantly. I cannot state how incredible this machine is. Rock steady temp & humidity the entire time. The only downside is cleaning the lid thoroughly after the hatching took some time but it wasn't too difficult. I absolutely recommend this product!

This incubator is unbelivable first time ever using a incubator 46 easter egger eggs 39 hatched that's 85% it maintained temp and humidity perfect would buy again do not hesitate to buy this worth every penny

Worked Perfectly
I sprang for the Brinsea because it seemed like it was the most accurate as far as temperature and humidity. I was not disappointed. Aside from a small issue with the humidity pump during the first week, which turned out to be user error (I didn’t realize the factory setting was 20%… I misread that part in the instruction manual), the incubator worked perfectly. I put 18 eggs in for a trial run, and 21 days later the eggs started to hatch, right on schedule. I now have 18 chicks in the brooder and I couldn’t be more pleased! I really didn’t expect 100% of the eggs to hatch on the first try. This is a great product and I highly recommend!

Good but came without a cord
Good incubator Arrived without a cord. Too much of a fuss to return it. Had to buy cord separately

Humidity pump issues
The media could not be loaded. Although I thought this incubator was terrific, it only worked really well 1x. The second time we used it, it would not hold humidity - we went back and forth in email with Brinsea. We just completed a 3rd hatch on 2/11/23 - so we have had the incubator a little over a year. Humidity pump stopped working altogether during the hatch. 3 goslings could not get out of their shells. 2 of the 3 died. Upsetting to watch. I now am emailing with Brinsea again. We have changed out the tubing 2x. It is set up correctly. I have just been forwarded to a second person. I am waiting to hear. I would like them to replace the head of the unit. I don't want to have to send this one for repair. It's a hassle and lengthy for time - plus expensive to mail. I will update this review when a solution has been provided.

Not worth the price.
Paid a substantial amount more to upgrade from my Hovabator. There are some really silly things on this toy that don't warrant the price tag. The egg turner has an annoying beeping alarm that cannot be turned off. When on lockdown they have a "hatching mat" that simply seems to be cardboard. After one use, it's discarded. The incubator only comes with one of these magical mats and when you purchase new ones, they're obscenely expensive. The entire machine feels like a cheap Chinese toy. I wouldn't mind that but lower the price. You could buy 3 Hovabators for this price and hatch a lot more chick's.

Calidad temperatura y humedad lo tiene todo.
Julio 2020He tenido varias incubadoras a lo largo de la vida, desde las más baratas y manuales hasta las mas sofisticadas y automáticas. Pero ninguna iguala la calidad de temperatura y humedad mejor que la Brinsea. La temperatura se mantiene perfectamente nada de picos como otros modelos de otras marcas, la humedad se controla sin problemas. ademas que ocupa poco espacio para la cantidad de huevos que puede eclosionar. En un clima caliente como el de Yucatan siempre las incubadoras me daban problemas al sobrecalentarse siempre perder algún huevo. Con la Brinsea la temperatura tiene poquísima variación. Actualizare más adelante cuando nazcan los pollitos.

The incubator is highly accurate I set 52 eggs, 10 proved to be infertile/ zero development, 2 perished within 10 days, the rest hatched successfully. The hatching mats are thin cardboard. You can purchase another 6 for around $60 or cut out your own using the one provided as your stencil. I did not do this, I wish I would have though! Your humidity sponge is made out of paper like material. This must be tossed in the garbage after hatch. I recommend using a sponge instead. Cleaning is not the easiest. It took around one and a half hours to fully clean the unit the first time. It is not an issue because I like a high accurate machine giving me results. I can't wait to start my second batch of eggs!

Manufacturing defects of previously superior product :(
The lid is totally warped and will not sit on base snugly so temp is not regulating correctly. There was ‘squish out’ plastic from the moulding process? Making a flap of excess plastic that prevented the automatic turner from being able to work. I was able to cut that off with a knife but I can’t fix a warped lid!

Wonderful incubator. After a couple of cheap overseas incubators I got fed up with losing chicks at the end of the hatch no matter how careful I was with humidity and malfunctioning units with poor design that I decided to invest in a Brinsea. Worth the money if you are hatching more than a few, I have had nearly 100% hatch rate, the humidity system on this thing is phenomenal. It stabilizes humidity so fast and consistently. Chick fluff / dander gets trapped inside lid once they start moving around though so be aware when you are taking the top off during hatch.
