Very Helpful for Arthritis in Hands or Wrist

When these Boye ergonomic hook set arrived, I was very happy with my purchase. I was taught on Boye hooks decades ago. Boyle is my go to for crochet hooks. Truth is I have several sets of other hook sets from over the years but I needed the ergonomic feature as I have arthritis in parts of my hands. I did the decision making of would it be a Boye or Clover ergonomic hooks? The deciding point for me is that the handles on the Boye are longer than the Clover hooks. I read reviews here about the Boye hooks before making my purchase. Some reviewers said they had crooked hooks and not in the plastic ergonomic handle cover. I looked for this in my set when it arrived. While I do not deny the crooked hooks others may have gotten, my hooks that came in this set are all straight into the handle. I've used one of the hooks everyday since they arrived in March on 2 Temperature Blankets. They crochet very smooth and do not separate my 4ply yarn being used. The plastic handles does make a difference in arthritic pain from crocheting. Personally I would recommend these hooks to others who have the same decision making process I had. Happy Crocheting!

i bought these because i had one that i really loved but my dog bit it and i found them on amazon. they were cheaper here than in walmart or michaels and i really love these

Good quality but weird mm sizes

I do like the quality of the hooks. They are comfortable to use. I just wish the sizes were different but that's my fault for not reading closely enough. There are no 4mm, 4.5mm, or 5.5mm. There are a lot of sizes that end in .25 and .75 instead of .5 but hopefully I can make them work for my projects.

As a 20 year old crocheter with arthritis, I can tell you first hand that these definitely make a difference. I'll never use metal handles again!

Great starting set.

For what it's worth, I did a lot of research prior to purchasing these. I wanted an ergonomic set as I really enjoy crocheting but I'm limited in how much I can do with these hands anymore. I make baby blankets for Military families expecting their first baby. Boy, if I thought I was busy before COVID, I didn't know what I was getting myself into. I've got a back-log now so I really needed something my hand could manage on a budget. These seem to fit the ticket. I love working with them. The rubber handle is soft and giving while still having a firmness that supports my hand. I've seen others complain about the quality in their handles and I honestly can't say I experienced that. What I will say (and is the cause of the 4 vs 5 star rating) is that I did experience the quality dip in the larger sized hooks. My 'I' hook has a sliver of metal at the bend that sometimes catches fabric. Mine is small enough that I can probably fix it with a fine sander no problem. It does appear to be the only one with that imperfection but it is also still usable. At the end of the day, the cost was worth the quality I received and as someone who hasn't used or purchased an ergonomic set before I feel like I got my money's worth. Maybe a nicer set will be in the cards for me down the road but these honestly feel like they'll last me a while.

Great set of comfortable grip crochet hooks

I love the grip and hook on these. I have to return them because the D (3.125 mm) and G (4.25) hooks were not included. Instead there were 2 H and I hooks. ????

Good hooks

I enjoy these hooks because the handles are slightly longer then most which fit my large hands perfectly, my only complaint would be the size printed on the handle I can tell will rub off over time.

Not good for small, tight stitched projects

Metal slips from hook casing especially with smaller hooks and working on projects like amigurumi. Disappointing.
