Not as advertised - but Problem Resolved Exceeding Overall Expectations

Although I had the issues stated below, during my return process I was contacted by Ashley from the merchant - Fast&Precise. Suffice it to say that not only did she resolve my issue with the Stapler I had purchased from them, but she also addressed the required staples that I had purchased directly from Amazon. Based on this relatively unsolicited response, I will be happy to do business with Fast&Precise again and thus I am changing my initial single star to 5 STARS. Thanks Ashley and Fast&Precise for exemplary - and today's atypical - customer service!! *************************************** This stapler was not extreme duty and/or heavy duty as was stated in the description as expected - the staples required were the same gauge as standard staples - just longer and not a heavy gauge as was expected. The stapler did not come with staples – which forced me to buy them separately – thus I was only able to determine them to just be longer versions of standard staples once they arrived – then I discovered they could not be returned. Extremely problem-ridden and time consuming transaction.

Worked great!

It worked great for me! I read reviews and information on the stapler so I knew I also had to order the correct staple size. I had bought the Arrow stapler from Home Depot and it SUCKED! The bostitch worked amazing with no issues!! Used it for making a homecoming Mum.

Works great the first time

Just have to buy the right Aerow staples. Can't use 3rs party staples as they are missing the little bump at the top. Works great. Easy to use. Anchors the staples eddortlessly and comfortably.

Very good stapler

I've never paid much attention to staplers until I had a need to staple multiple thick stacks of paper. That was when I realized most staplers will only go through 20 sheets of paper. I purchased this with a box of B8 1/4" staples, because it claims to be able to staple 30 sheets of normal paper. I don't know how they do it, but it really works. It goes through 30 sheets of normal copier paper effortlessly with the 1/4" staples. I haven't tried 45 sheets since I don't have the 3/8" staples. Note that you must use the PowerCrown B8 staples, either 1/4" or 3/8". Some of the reviewers don't seem to be aware of this, which explains the low rating. All parts of this stapler is sturdy, with one exception - the spring-loaded clip holding in the staples. It feels flimsy and is held in place by two plastic tabs. That is the only part that I'm worried about breaking. Be careful when removing the clip if it is almost fully loaded. Since the spring is under tension, if you don't hold on to it tightly, the clip can go flying across the room. Stapling a stack of paper one-handed is effortless if you have medium sized hands (or larger, obviously). No more pounding on a desk stapler hoping to drive the staples all the way through. There are two small holes near the front of the stapler, allowing you to tell whether there are any staples left, and what type you have loaded. Packaging says it can be used as a tacker, but I haven't figured out how to unhinge it. (see Krankshaft's comment below on how to accomplish this. Thanks, Krankshaft.) One last thing, not related to its performance as a stapler. The packaging looks like the clam shell hard plastic type guaranteed to draw blood when opening, but it is actually held together by friction tabs that opens easily. Altogether, a very nice stapler with that one flaw in design I mentioned.

It's easy to use. I just don't like the plastic lock on the back. It doesn't function well. It's also easy to break.

It just works.

I frequently staple 30 or 40 packets of paperwork from between 4 to 40 sheets daily and the stapler supplied by my company was trash. It would work for about a day before either breaking or jamming up. I decided that I needed something more heavy duty to complete my work and decided to grab this stapler from Amazon Warehouse Deals for $18. This stapler has more than delivered on durability and effectiveness. It has not failed me once since I started using it several days ago. It is true that you need special B8 PowerCrown staples, but despite all the griping on here, I was able to get them at a Staples B&M without an issue. I find the complaint about the plastic end piece to be hilarious though. I saw what people had wrote and was slightly worried that I had purchased a ticking time bomb of a stapler, BUT there is nothing to worry about. This piece is not placed under any stress and does nothing but hold the staple guide in place. I personally do not see where it could possibly break under normal use. Purchase this item with confidence because it is a quality piece of equipment.

Best product for price point

This is a very affordable high capacity stapler. That comes with its downfalls. The tabs where you insert the staples are very thin and easily breakable. Be careful and take your time inserting staples and closing compartment back up. Also purchase the better quality staples to use in it or you will have more mechanism jams. I use the Bostich 3/8” premium staples (B8 with a crown). Because this is a hand powered stapler it can be difficult to squeeze. It really is a great product for the price.

Excellent quality and no jamming

Used for marine covers fabrication to hold panels together whilst fitting. Really pleased with the performance, easy to use and refill. Highly recommended.

Effortless stapling

I'm so glad I got this stapler. Normally, I hate stapling more than a couple of pages, because my desk stapler invariably jams or screws up in some other way. THIS stapler is so easy to use, completely effortless, it staples even multiple sheets of cardstock like they were tissue paper. Very, very satisfied with this purchase. Highly recommended - especially to anyone with arthritis in their hands, like me. :)

Feels cheaper than the other more industrial model

Feels cheaper than the other more industrial model, the loading plastic part looks incredibly cheap, it just overall feels klonkier, for 20$ more get the top-loading industrial model of the same brand, we use it at the restaurant that I work and it can take a LOT of wear and tear
