READ BEFORE BUYING! These blocks are completely made of cheap, very heavy steel, not aluminum!

The product description is blatantly false. The blocks are described as being of "Durable rust proof aluminum construction" and "Features all aluminum construction." And it says: "Product Dimensions: 32.5 x 8.5 x 8.5 inches ; 5 pounds." None of this is true. These block are made ENTIRELY of cheap, heavy steel. They weigh 8 lb, 13 oz - almost double the claimed weight! Just to make sure, I checked with a magnet. The magnet attached firmly to every part which would not happen if made of aluminum. They are 31.75" long, not 32.5". Even at 32.5", these blocks would be too short for many people. I have size 12 feet and am not able to correctly set these up because they are not long enough. The supplied spikes are 11mm long which, according to my coach, would not be legal for most, if not all synthetic track surfaces. For comparison, most track shoes come with 5mm spikes. The construction tolerances are so sloppy that the whole assembly is wobbly and definitely not confidence inspiring. Other than the shipping label taped to the outer box, there was no paperwork, at all. No instructions, no product labels, decals - nothing. The blocks do not have any model #, name of manufacturer, or markings at all other than a tiny "MADE IN TAIWAN" sticker. The plain cardboard inner box does have "ITEM: TSB2" stamped on it. I Googled Champion TSB2 and found the same product advertised at other sites. All the ones I looked at also claimed that the product is made of aluminum, though on ad did say that it weighs 9.6 pounds. That may include the spikes which I did not include in the weight. At first, I thought that I was sent the wrong item. But the product looks exactly like the image in the Amazon ad. And, from what I could find, this seller does not offer a higher quality model like the one they describe. So it appears to be a case of intentionally false advertising. I needed these blocks to train for an upcoming event. Now I have to return them and find a replacement. NOT AT ALL HAPPY!! I would give zero stars if allowed!

great set of starter starting blocks.

Great set of starter starting blocks. Work well, very stable and easily adjustable. Wish could give 4.5 stars, but had to knock off for a few small issues: 1) blocks angle slightly outward when on flat surface (like middle rail is very slightly too high) - this is more an aesthetic than functional issue 2) angle adjuster screw/bolts not silky smooth - can turn with fingers, but "catches" a little - might get better with time - issue is magnified since have to be all the way unscrewed to store in box that they arrived in. A larger box or (even better) a storage bag (or even a way to cap spikes to keep from catching/scratching everything) would alleviate that problem enough to bump to 5 stars. Like the fact that center rails are chrome, not painted as some others are, and thus should stay looking good longer. Good deal for money, and my son (13 year old with 100M PR of 12.165 from standing start) loves them! Thanks.

Glad I bought it

I would give it 5 stars except it comes assembled a little askew. Don't know if it's supposed to be this way. Everything was in the box and it works VERY well. Glad I bought it.

A Good Buy

I've had these blocks for several years now. They are very sturdy and a good size to be easily portable. And they are easily adjustable. I've moved several times cross-country—yes I have taken good care of them—but they have held up very well on their own, too. I think they are good buy when you weight cost and quality.

Received the blocks but unfortunately they didn't arrive with any of the hardware promised. Now what do I do for stability?

Perfect for high school track and field.

I bought these blocks for my daughter who is a high school stand out track and field sprinter. Very good product, very smooth adjustments, quality material but fairly light weight making it easy to carry around. She loves the blocks and has not had any problems. I would definitely recommend this product.

Champion Starting Blocks

Ordered the blocks and within 48 hours they were at my doorstep. My daughters run summer track and the blocks have turned out to be a perfect investment...The blocks are durable, lightweight and kid friendly when it come to adjusting the foot pads...I'm definitely a satisfied customer.

Just what my twins needed. I purchased two of them. They ran their best time in the 100 meters. Track Pins are included. Simple to setup and use!!!
