Great product but 50x not 140x
My unit was high quality and very well built. The eyepieces were somewhat stiff and uncomfortable on the eyes compared to my other barska 10-30x zoom binoculars. Could get used to it after a while but may be tough for extended use. The main reason I am returning these is because at max zoom the image is no larger than my that of my 48x spotting scope. I've attached a comparison. As such I have no use for these otherwise nice binoculars. 4 stars if you don't mind the max zoom being about a third of that advertised.

Check the dimensions, they're much larger than they might appear on the website
I bought these for use from a cruise ship. They were great for that purpose, with the notable concern that they're so large they took up about a quarter of a large suitcase. Aside from that, I brought a tripod with me for use with these, but ended up never using it. I really enjoy them, but I wasn't expecting them to be as large as they are.

Good Until Now
Have had them 1 month. Good until now. Tried to use them today. Out of collimation. They were not bumped in any way, yet out adjustment. I will do a study on collimation online by Barska. Should be interesting. Until now, I have been pleased with them. I wanted to learn collimation anyway I have other binoc's, it will be handy to know. I have made an embarrassing mistake. I put these bino's away thinking that they were out of collimation. Here it is 6 months later. I looked through them again and they were fine. I never did get around to studying collimation. What I did was to have looked through them with one eye piece rolled up and the other rolled down when I thought they were out of collimation. I tried looking through them both ways, and that was the problem. DUMB. These are vary good bino's. I really enjoy them as I did in the first place. I have changed my rating from 3 to 5 stars. If you buy variable magnification ( zoom ) Binoculars, give your self a chance to get used to them. They are tricky, but well worth it.

Zero them in and don't use zoom.
Zoom function is crap. Does not keep focus even a little bit! Focus them in at as high a magnification as you can and leave it there...basically like a spotting scope.

Highest power binoculars I own
I did not rate them for night vision or lightweight as these are not reasons to buy these. However, if you are looking for long range quality binoculars that won't break the bank, then these are a great option. I highly reccomend the tripod that was recommended as well. Although, I occasionally use them without the tripod, if you want a steady image, then you really want a tripod for these.

Far Away
You need a solid tripod to hold these up high enough... saw moons around Jupiter, somewhat rings around Saturn, but terrestrial daytime was spectacular down at the shore, checking maritime things out... But very challenging to hamdhold...

For such a horrible quality image, these are still overpriced
Stay away from these. I've been an Amazon customer for over 10 years, and these binoculars are my very first returned item. The images are just completely and unacceptably hazy. I spent 2 hours with a tripod in my living room looking out across a field, and eventually determined that I could see no more detail at any magnification than my pair of 10x30 binoculars. And by the way, the magnification at anywhere near the 20x and 140x extremes was a farce. I'm guessing that the usable zoom range is maybe something like 30x to 60x, although there are no numbers on it to tell me what the zoom level actually is. And gosh, again, I just can't emphasize enough how hazy the images are, no matter the amount of tinkering you do. It's not a focusing problem nor an alignment problem; it's a lens quality problem. Like they used some cheap old plastic lenses in there somewhere from 1902. And for that 21 mm eye relief spec... I really don't know where they got that, and it is a complete joke. It seems much, much shorter, at any zoom level. The 14 mm of eye relief on my other binoculars works much better. I kid you not. If you have the money to spend on these, get something else for the same money, even if the quoted specs on that something else are much less. I suppose that it could be possible that a mediocre pair of binoculars cannot be made with these listed specs at this price. But if that is true, then they shouldn't try to sell something like this at all. I'm really not picky. I buy cheap when I can, and accept the usual corresponding drop in quality. And I'm usually happy doing that. But trust me, the drop is just too large with these. Again, spend your money on another pair with lesser specs and better glass, or accept that you need to pay a lot more money for better binoculars. For example, I would bet that a pair of Barska Gladiator 12-60x70, for about 1/3 the price, simply can't be any worse than these (although after this experience, I wouldn't give Barska another chance on those 12-60x70's). I was torn between giving 2 stars and 1, because they do seem to be made well. But giving 2 stars would imply that they are reasonably functional, and they are not. These are really worse than whatever pair of plain-Jane binoculars that you already own.

Blurry at distances and zoom is not smooth
i dont know if its just the construction or we got one that was not check before leaving the factory, but the zoom is so stick that you literally have to grip the binoculars to move and then you lose focus and what you were looking at. It is also very blurry at higher magnifications and is really unusable for anything past 50x. Bummer because I really thought these might turn out to be a great set of binoculars but they are just unwieldily with not a really good zoom or good definition.

Can be hard to use, but a reasonable alternative to a telescope when travelling.
I bought these as an alternative to my Dobsonian astro telescope, so that I could take them on holiday with me (they can easily be put in the back of a packed car with the suitcases, unlike a telescope). In that respect, they are useful. However, the optics are pretty rubbish, with alignment issues and chromatic aberrations as higher zoom. There's a blue halo around objects, and even a slight change in zoom seems to throw both sides out of focus by different amounts. Also, the maximum zoom is nowhere near the advertised 140x — compared to my in-law's Celestron Astromaster 70, looking at ships out in the bay, I'd say it's around 40x. That said, I got a reasonable view of Jupiter and its moons, the rings of Saturn, the phases of Venus and Mercury, and Comet Neowise -- probably not as good as it would have been with my Dobsonian, but I can't easily take that camping with my family :)

Ttres decu.

Horrible
Horrible. Just don't get these. They are not worth anything. Badly out of focus and first is visible inside the lens. I threw the box away or I would have returned them.
