GREAT PRODUCT!!
One of the best items I have purchased!!!! Glass is heavy and well made! My ONLY complaint is the handle - very hard to put on and very thin wire used. With that being said, after struggling to get it on - I ABSOLUTELY love this jar. My husband's mother loved to sew - I put alot of her old thimbles, wooden thread spools, a couple old zipper, old scissors, etc I have the jar sitting in my craft room! Definently a conversation piece!

Concern of wire handle able to carry wieght!
This is second one the first one had a broken metal Handel. Don't know if the handle is strong enough to hold the weight the of bottle when it is full of water?

Would of had a 5 star but....
Well packaged is multi layer compressible cardboard. Box in a box and labeled fragile. The glass was smooth, no chips, cracks or thin areas. The glass is a uniform thickness and even throughout. The lid sits even and screws down fairly tight. I knew ahead of time that it is not a water tight seal, you would need to put a gasket in for that. I really like the looks and it goes with my other multi gallons glass storage jars for rice, flower, coffee, etc. My only complaint is that mine did not include the wire bail and wooden handle. Hopefully the manufacturers will send me one. Update 11FEB2023. Now a 5 star and highly recommended due to customer service. Replacement handle was delivered today after contacting customer service ahconsumer@AnchorHocking.com on 29 JAN. The directions to attach the handle were very simple and easy to follow. It only took maybe 5 seconds to attach it. I did not need any tools to mount it other than pinching the loops closed, nor did anything break while attaching it. I will definitely be ordering more of these 2 1/2 gallon storage jugs. I love them.

LOVE These Jars
I ordered one just to see it. I then ordered 15 more and they all arrived perfect. They were on sale for $27 with a $7 off coupon. I mill my own wheat and grains so these are perfect for that. It saved room and I like that I didn’t have so many canning jars to store 1 item. Yes the handles aren’t that sturdy and I will order different lids. I had no problem assembling the handles. They are a tad pricey if not on sale but I love how beautiful they look filled as well as being practical.

i use this jar for brewing kombucha. it’s a great size and looks nice sitting on my counter. a bit heavy to wash and hard to fit in the sink, but beyond that it’s perfect. i would happily buy this again.

Jar.....WITHOUT HANDLE!
The jar itself so far seems good the lid fits for now I see a lot of reviews saying the lid doesn't stay on or go on at all I'm a nervous for that. THAT BEING SAID the handle is a joke my mom, boyfriend and I tried every day for like a week and could not figure this out... Really had us questioning our intelligence. My fault should have read the reviews first. But the jar does what's it's supposed to I guess..

I bought this to brew Kombucha. Great size and the handle makes it easier to carry than a simple big jar. So far, so good!

Pleased with my purchase.
I bought this to use as a fermenter to make small batches of wine. I am satisfied with the jar and lid. I haven’t figured out the handle yet! Lol. My only “issue” is that it only comes with the aluminum lid, which isn’t good for making wine. I’m on the hunt for a plastic lid of the same size. I wish Anchor Hocking would make these available.
