Not air tight

If you put something in the container and turn it on it’s side it will leak. Even if you are actively holding the lid on. This is not leak proof. This is not air tight. Luckily I didn’t really need it to be air tight for my purposes but it is advertised as such. It’s still a pretty jar. And it’s functional. Just not air tight.

Great as a cookie jar or......

Great jar from a great American name however this time, I bought them for a different purpose.... I'm redecorating so bought new lamps that I like but didn't work where intended. And I couldn't find anything else I like to replace them sooooo.......here's what I came up with... Two 2 gallon jars, 2 10 in glass cylinder vases, 1 tube of epoxy, 4. 10lb buckets of florist glass pebbles, felt pads and glue and 2 gray silk lamp shades later.....I have a beautiful pair of lamps!

Thick and good quality

I Really like these jars! The Lids fit on with an air tight seal and the mouth is wide and easy to clean. They were definitely worth the money!

WORTH THE MONEY/QUALITY JARS!!

Absolutely beautiful, clear, thick glass jars. Exactly what I was looking for. I compare their thickness to those glass containers people use for leftovers, etc. The jar is HEAVY and so perfect. I saw reviews about the lids not being perfect (dented or the knob not being centered), I did NOT have this issue at all thankfully and I purchased 2. SO worth the money. The boxes they ship in are also QUALITY, thick boxes with more thick cardboard inside to protect the glass. These 2 boxes came inside of a larger regular amazon box. Would 100% purchase again and will look to this company if I ever need any smaller or larger sizes. I purchased two of the 2 gallon glass jars. I fit an entire new 10 pound bag of rice in the jar with room to spare (see pic). Pic was taken with full bag of rice just put in.

This is one amazing jar. . .

Oh me, oh my, what a jar! This is a heavy and thick glass jar. It reminds me of the candy jars my grandfather had on the counter in his store when I was little. I got the black lid, and it has a rough finish, which is just again perfect. But it is HUGE. I bought one to see if I would like it, then would buy more as needed. I did get this one for flour, but it's just too huge for that. The jar actually measures right at 10" tall. The circumference of the jar is 27", and the top opening is almost 10". You wouldn't have any problem getting a 1 cup measuring cup inside to fill it up. Because it's so big, I'm going to go back and order a 1 1/2 gallon for my flour, and if they offer a 1 gallon I will buy 2 of those for my sugar and sugar substitute, then an even smaller one for my coffee. This 2 gallon I will now use as a home for my extensive antique marble collection, it will be perfect. So I will now have a display piece for all my "marbles" I keep telling my grandkids I have lost...but have found.

Jacked up lid , nice jar.

I am 100% happy with the jar itself but the lid is dented due to poor packaging and the the handle is not even centered. It’s also loose regardless of how much I try to tighten the nut on the back side. I was so excited to get this and now I’m very disappointed with the condition of the lid. I will be returning and ordering a replacement. Hopefully it’s better as I really like the look and the air tight aspect of these jars.

Worth the buy

These jars have a good seal. I keep dog food in one, their snacks in another. Both of them recognize the sound when lids come off. They are thick glass, the metal dog scoop I use does not feel like it will break them.

Great jars—large and hold a lot

I bought 2 jars to hold my dog treats. I wanted something that would keep the treats fresh and be easier to get into. These work great. They are large and hold a lot of treats. The jar on the left has a full box of greenies, a full box of Dentastix (I think it’s 50 or 60) and a bag of white “bone” treats I get from Sam’s. All of the treats fit in one jar (though I did spend some extra time arranging to get them in the jar). I tend to be a little lazy, so love that the lid is easy open/close. Before I got the jars, I tended to leave the treat bags open, so the treats became stale (not that my dogs seemed to notice). If I had a need, I would definitely buy again.

Perfect extra large sized jars

Excellent jars! perfect size. it's hard to find extra large ones that are truly big enough and these were great. I ordered 2 and used them to store my dogs' food on the counter rather than having huge bags lying around and this holds enough to feed my large dog 3.5 cups a day for over a week and my small dog's food for a month. When they first arrived, one was broken and it was quickly and easily exchanged. Lids fit snugly. The only thing I don't like it the texture of the lids, which it was smooth but it's a matte very slightly rough metal but that's just my personal preference! DEFINITELY would buy again

Good quality, but it sits empty at our house because we don't know what to do with it...

It looks pretty cool - a little slippery for size when full, but it works. My wife tried to make kamboocha but it failed and we grew a scobi instead, therefore the jar sits empty at our house, but if it was in your house, you'd probably have lots of liquid in it. Quality looks pretty good.

I absolutely love this jar. I bought this for my empty essential oils. Yes it is a bit bigger than what I was looking for. But the price was right so I grabbed it. I absolutely love it and is awesome for what I need it for.

Awesome product

Amazing product would like to see more. I'm actually hoping to get wholesale amounts as I have a fish who accidently had babies. Or even disfigured jars. That are still water proof in Atleast 150! I'm not sure if I can afford much atm but trying companies asap to help me save my fish!

Very happy with this product

LOVE this HUGE glass container. I use it to store and display my empty essential oils bottles. Very sturdy design and the top fits with a nice little bit of snuggness around the rim. It's beautiful.
