Thrilled to find! Great for severe RA & whole family!

We just received these in pink and blue and gave them a test run! Thrilled! I am have severe advanced rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia and multiple other autoimmune diseases and syndromes that have caused considerable permanent damage to my joints and body (13 years now...I got it an extremely severe case early in adulthood very suddenly.) I have always been athletic and am still very strong, but have been unable to excercise due to the pandemic. It's made my RA & other issues much worse, I don't sleep well because of it and it's caused weight gain and loss of energy. I normally swim year round and lift weights, but I am in 3+ high risk categories. I haven't been able to exercise like normal in almost a year and neither has my family (except for a 3 or 4 week period where we could swim in the ocean late August into September. Boy was that HEAVEN!) Our gym pool is not fully open & when it is it's such a short time period that you have to make a reservation for that it doesn't work for us (plus you aren't allowed to change there and they aren't really accomodating for the disabled. ) I have asthma so I can't breathe properly in a mask for weight lifting so that's not safe. We have an area in our living room that has just enough space for so we dug out our box of pilates dvd's, balance ball and checked out what Amazon had to stream from Amazon video because we were going nuts being sedentary and it was making my RA considerably worse as well as a back injury. We had a great time doing yoga and two pilates workouts the first day, but I discovered that my trusty yoga mat I've had forever (still like new) was no longer enough cushion for me. I ended up with bruises on my lower back and tailbone as we have wood floors and a new area rug (lovely, but different from our old one.) I also needed to get a proper yoga mat for a family member. I typed in "thick yoga mat" and these mats popped up! I had severe pain with certain exercises on Day 1 in my knees and hips and suddenly I realized that I usually did my floor exercise on mats like this at the gym! (I used to do them at home too, but that was 5 years ago and my RA has advanced as I am medication resistant unfortunately....not about to let it stop me though :)) I looked at other mats like these and they're considerably more expensive! I checked out getting a 4×8 or a 4×10 to pop down for our daily excercise sessions, but they were much more expensive than just getting two of these to try under our individual yoga mats. It's snowing and raining out now and that's when my RA is worse. We just got these off the porch and opened them up and gave them a test run immediately! The colors are cheerful! They fold down and fold up SUPER easily and feel stable and firm, but give a solid amount of cushion! (Full 2") We're SO EXCITED!!! We're excited to get one more for another family member too. Our yoga mats pop down on top perfectly! Even with my bad bruising from the other day I could still roll around! I could even to poses putting pressure on my wrists and knees which are normally not possible due to joint damage. I REALLY hope they last and are super durable in the lon run! We hope they keep the lower price on the pink and blue sowe can buy more! We really are excited and LOVE them so far! It's funny, but these mats (if they stay sturdy and hold up) are going to be making a HUUUUGE difference in our lives! Being able to excercise comfortably for as long as we want daily again is important for everyone, but with my disabilities it's the ONLY thing that helps control my painful autoimmune diseases as none of the available meds work as I have tried them ALL(diet & excercise in conjunction.) They will also make a GIANT difference for my family since we have to stay home due to the pandemic and this excercise outlet is SO IMPORTANT! Members of my family were doing so much better EMOTIONALLY as well as physically with our new daily excercise options even after just ONE day!!! OK! I will give a SHORT UPDATE after a month or two! Fingers crossed that they are as wonderful & durable for years to come as they were today! It really was like a second Christmas for us! :)

Best for floor exercise!

This foam is super durable. My knee is very sensitive when I'm doing floor workouts but I'm able to kneel down on this mat and not even feel the hard floor beneath. This is much better than a thick yoga mat and I can fold it up and store it in a smaller area... Plus this has handles! Stitching and material is a very good quality. This is definitely worth the price.

Exactly what my girls needed.

This was a great price for what you get. I do wish I would’ve ordered a slightly larger mat though. It is good sized for my 4 year old, but a little small for my 7 year old. Happy with my purchase though! I’ve ordered these two separate times.

Easy to use

Bought this for a safe landing and fall prevention class. After testing it personally, it seems to do what I need it to do. I give it 4 stars only because they sent a pink one instead of the black ordered.

BEST mat I've ever owned! Now I can actually stand to do yoga and other floor exercise!

As a 60yo woman with problem feet and arthritis (and hardwood floors), I have had a nearly impossible time trying to do yoga and other floor exercises, no matter what kind of mat I tried - even using THREE regular yoga mats stacked was not enough to minimize the PAIN I would experience in my feet, knees, hips and spine when trying to do floor work - or anything barefoot.... UNTIL NOW. Since this mat arrived I have been very happily getting through the yoga and other exercise that I have WANTED to be able to do for years! The cushioning is VASTLY superior over my previous system (THREE yoga mats layered) and SO much easier to take out and put away as well! I can finally be barefoot, and can be down on the floor without feeling like I'm being tortured! Excellent mat! I did purchase two, as it is narrower than I would like - but I also didn't want to spend over $100 for a wider one... So two it is! I'm currently waiting for some self-adhesive velcro squares to be able to stick the two mats together more securely. If they don't work, I will sew on some velcro by hand. It would be really nice if the manufacturer would stitch velcro to the sides of these (hooks on one long edge and loops on the other) so I wouldn't have to. :) EDIT TO ADD: My velcro wouldn't stay stuck to the mat, so am trying duct tape to keep the 2 mats together, and it is working great so far. Just be sure to tape them so you can still fold the mat one way. (See pictures) It makes a tall slim folded mat that will.fit, upright, against the wall in my closet. (ignore the little square imprints... I just used the mat before taking pics, and I had a chair on it for some exercises. The imprints go away in a few minutes)

Thick enough to support a fall

It is a perfect size for practicing dance, gymnastics, or doing yoga for children and adults! Had it for a few months now and very durable! Definitely thick enough that you don’t feel the ground through it at all! Great buy!

Great mat

While this mat is advertised for martial arts and gymnastics, I bought it specifically for when I need to check something out underneath my car. We have a crushed rock/gravel driveway so laying on the ground to work is not the most comfortable. I contemplated getting a typical yoga mat but they're not very durable, with the rocks they would likely get torn apart in no time. This mat's nice and thick though and the cover seems to be a pretty sturdy material. The listing claims it's puncture proof so hoping this mat will last. I also like that it folds into three so it can be stored in the trunk and has convenient strap handles to transport it around

Loving my new workout buddy

I am really happy with my gym mat. I have back problems and I find it's compfortable for me to do situps on it. Used it for yoga. Good compfort and grip for different yoga positions. I even used it to run in place on it since I don't have a treadmill yet. It's easier on my legs then running on my hard floor in socks. It's sturdy enough to do anything you can with a mat. I also love how it folds easily and has a handle to carry it. It's lightweight and yet I find it longer and thicker then some mats I've used at actual gyms. I can lie on it fully without my feet hanging off of it. I'm 5 feet 0 inches but regular gym mats I'd still have my feet hanging off the edge when laying flat lol. Of course I also love the cute pink colour. Price was decent to as these mats usually run close to $100 if not over $100. Lol my hubby even used it. I'm thinking of getting another one soon. I highly recommend. ????????‍♀️
