My favorite hand vacuum.
I have had a Mighty Might for several years now. I usually keep it in the garage for a quick vacuum of my car. I was told this Sanitaire is a little bit higher quality than the Mightly Might because Electrolux had their hand in making them. I don't know if that is true, but I thought I would get this instead of the Mighty Might. My Mighty Might would still be working for me if my son didn't suck something into it and we just can't get it out. So after some years I decided to just get a new one. Fun!

Does the job but still need earplugs
Bought this one in particular because the decibel levels were showing less than others. However, the noise level is still too loud for me. Another feature for the reason I purchased this one was it does not have a telescopic hose. I do not like the telescopic ones because on those you have to literally carry the machine around to use it. This one has a regular hose but it is kind of stiff. Does not rotate freely. It has excellent suction and rolls well though. However, the cord it too short. Cannot even go from one room to another down a hallway without unplugging and plugging in another outlet. Also, they could have used a better plastic material in the construction as well. Too much crystal in the raw plastic material, should have had more rubber content in the raw plastic. For the price, it should have been constructed with better materials. I probably should have returned this, but I just needed a replacement and did not want to go through the hassle of trying to find another one. I will just keep wearing my ear plugs and cussing at the hose. Clearly, whomever designed this one does not use a vacuum.

Powerful suction but a little noisy
Powerful suction but a little noisy. It uses bags which don't hold a lot of dirt, but also is less messy when emptying. And vacuum is lightweight so it's easy to move around.

LOVE this vacuum
I LOVE this little vacuum!! I can't say enough about it. I have a cleaning business and I use it at a lot of my clients houses. It is so powerful and light weight and easy to maneuver. The suction is surprisingly strong for its size. Looking at other reviews on this vacuum... too loud? yes, wear ear plugs, I do. Ask and look for a telescopic wand. Mine has one but other ones clients bought, don't. I don't understand that. The review some one wrote about having to carry it around if it has a telescopic wand, doesn't make sense! Cord too short? yes, use an extension cord. I will keep buying this vacuum when mine dies.

I used it to vacuum stairs and it worked beautifully, and it was easy to move it around. I love it!

Not as good as before
My sister has a cleaning company and recommended this vacuum to me because it works great but after receiving this order and asking her to help me set it up and try it she told me that suction is not as good as the old one she has, maybe it’s because they were made better, still works but suction could be better to be a professional vacuum

I like my little vacuum cleaner.
There are probably other better ones for the price, and I would have preferred an auto-rewind cord, but things like that add to weight and space. This is a very small device, but has great suction that is adjustable by the one potentially annoying part in the handle that keeps pinching my hand or getting inadvertently "adjusted," but another reviewer had already pointed that out. It doesn't bother me that much. It travels well over bumps and when it gets wound up on itself with the really nicely lengthy hose/attachment parts. Getting the "corners" of the bag set in is a little mysterious. There are four corners, but apparently only two get tucked in? Seems to work--no dust has gotten scattered on the inside. Again, I must be getting used to this kind of thing in products--less than user-friendly, less quality driven. I got a reusable bag; we'll see how that goes. So far, even with the bags seemingly almost full, it's still pulling stuff into it. All in all, it's five stars, because again, I knew what I was getting and am well satisfied with it. If it lasts without breakage, I'll be more than pleased with the purchase.

4 week update
Been using for 4 weeks now and had to change the bag once so far. Great suction! Use it everyday 1-2 times a day for whole main floor. Not a vacuum for carpets but we do have inside/outside carpet and it does a decent job on it.

Super Lightweight
I wish it had more suction power, but the thing is admittedly lightweight which is a huge benefit if you care about keeping your vacuum portable.
