Commercial quality. Best vacuum suction so far.

It’s loud but VERY powerful. Vacuums up pet hair like nothing. So powerful that it will lift a throw rug. Worth every penny.

Workhorse!

Honestly I love this vacuum! Its heavy extremely loud and yes I've had to buy a couple fan blades because of legos and screws getting vacuumed up. But this thing is awesome, its quick and super easy to change them out and they weren't expensive to replace. It has amazing suction power and gets all kinds of dirt embedded in the carpet and even stuff like crumbs right against the baseboards. I've had it for a year and still love it. Its an uncomplicated workhouse vacuum which, with 4 kids is exactly what I need. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Poor quality control

Sanitaire is a good vacuum cleaner brand and I have been using them for years in my commercial cleaning business. Recently I purchased 6 new ones and when they arrived, 2 of them had faulty switches and the units would not turn on. I buy vacuum cleaners when I need them, not to keep them in stock. Having 2 out of 6 units fail on arrival is not acceptable. I also wasted time taking them apart and repacking them for return. I'm now considering other brands.

Brutal on my back!

Just got finished wrestling with this beast on yet another cleaning night. When it works, it's great. Deep cleans carpets. It will eat any accent or throw rugs in its path. The height adjustment is already broken on my unit. Or perhaps it never worked at all. As a result, because of its powerful suction, it is absolutely nearly impossible to push. It's already gone through two belts. I've used it about five times. I am a very strong woman, but I do have arthritis. I can lift it and use it on my carpeted stairs, although it is heavy. I am in a lot of pain right now, as I write this review, because I can not explain with words just how difficult this thing is to push! I paid WAY too much for this vaccum for it to brutalize my body the way it does each time I clean my house. I was tired of buying cheap vacuums at Walmart every year when they would break. So I invested in what appeared to be a quality-constructed Sanitaire. I am so disappointed that the height adjustment has never worked and consequently the unit is impossible to push. I can't return it, it's too big! So I'm stuck with a behemoth that would be fine if I didn't have to throw my entire body against it just to get it to move. The "shake out" bag is not a big deal, it's nice not having to buy vaccum bags, and the cost works out since I'm going to have to buy a LOT of replacement BELTS! Just empty it in an outside bin, spray it with Lysol and air it out before reattaching. The cord is nice and long, but too long. I keep tripping on it when I'm using both hands, both legs, and my torso to push the vaccum. I am going to go get a heating pad and make a call to my neurosurgeon now. I'm in agony!!!

Suction and maintenence, 10 out of 10. Everything else is iffy.

Amazing amazing amazing Suction power. Pulled crap out of the carpet I didn't know existed. Everything else is so so about it. Build quality feels flimsy especially at the handle. Yes it has some metal but that metal is attached to plastic which makes me thing that plastic ain't gonna last long. Ease of maintenence is awesome. Features suck but if you want a vacuum just to vacuum then you ain't gonna find better. It will make ur carpet cleaner then you ever had it. I will never buy a vacuum from wally world or target again. Just a word to the wise, do not empty the bag indoors unless you want a mess.

Where has this been all my life!!

My wife was skeptical. “Bagged?!?!” Oh man this vacuum vibrates stuff out of the carpet that we didn’t even know was there! We’ve bought $100 vacuums and $400 vacuums. They didn’t suck like this one does!!!!! Hands down the best vacuum we’ve Ever bought!!!!! Now it doesn’t have a wand so corners are going to be a challenge. But it’s a commercial vacuum that is meant to be ran over and over. The shake bag is almost as easy to empty as bagless. It doesn’t come assembled but very easy! I will never buy another kind of vacuum!!!!!

Number One Period

You don’t want a vac with a hose. A no hose vac gives a straight unrestricted flow of air. This is the same vac I used in 1989 and I use it today in my carpet cleaning business. For home? My wife uses it. It is not a multi purpose vac - but is there any such thing?

Really wanted to like this vaccum but .....

The 1st issue was the button that you pressed on with your foot to release the handle from the Upright position was very hard to operate. Sometimes it worked Sometimes it didn't. Don't know if I got a bad unit or not but it was a deal breaker . The 2nd issue was that the clip that holds the cord on the handle broke the very 1st time I tried to wrap the cord up on it. Too bad because otherwise it seemed like a good vaccum .
