It does work!

First impression - feels weird, totally different material than standard workout "towel" PROS: > #1 it works. So the material is an ultra high absorbent material. That's how it works.. it is super lightweight and when it's dry, it's very firm (see pics). So it's super absorbent. When you go to use it, it takes a couple minutes for it to soak up all the water if your running it under a faucet, and then there is no dripping or anything - it just retains a ton of water.. then the material itself stays very cool - or at least at air/water temperature, which then feels VERY cool, when your working out. So it works. It is surprisingly refreshing. > Why is it better than a normal towel? Well.. it's so lightweight, even when it's full.. it barely weighs anything. If you filled a normal towel up with as much water as you do this one, youd be walking around with a soaking wet towel, streaming water. So there is a difference. Theoretically - you could carry a bucket of water around, with a normal towel and get the same refreshing cool down.. but... this towel is better than doing that. > For some reason the box the towel came in says pickle ball towel? I just use it for the gym. Would work great for anything where you'd want a refreshing, cool, wet towel. OVERALL - Not sure how durable it is. I have been using it a LOT because it actually works really well - so it makes me want to use it every workout, but then i wash it because it's gnarly with sweat. Not sure how long it will last washing it numerous times a week. It says it's "reusable" and "machine washable". I've been hand washing every other day and then washing and I don't put it in the dryer at all.

Odd Texture, Good Performance

I have two of these types of towels, now, and this one seems to perform a bit better. Granted, this arrived in winter time, so the true test of Louisiana summer is a ways off. The main story here is the very odd yet effective fabric. I think the best way I can think of to describe it is "liquified yet solid loofah." Once you're past that initial shock (and maybe revulsion, to be fair), you can get down to business, which is using this towel. It does seem WAY more absorbent than your standard towel, and from what I can tell (again, not peak season for testing this), it maintains temp. For the size and price, I think this is worthwhile. I'll update this summer if I notice anything strange/poor about it.

Nice for Cool Down

I get overheated in the summer very easily and have used a few of these cooling towels. This fabric holds water without too much weight and doesn't drip as badly as other materials to keep you from getting soaked--although that isn't so bad in some hot weather situations. As with all fabrics, waving this around in the air will cool it down when it is wet so you can recharge it. This style is nice because it is lightweight and a good size for draping on your neck or other hot spots for quicker cool down. I carry it in a zip sandwich bag when not in use instead of the provided case to reduce bulk in my bag. It will also fit in a roomy pocket that way.

I have never used anything like this before so I was just blown away with it. It holds and incredible amount of water and it does stay cool like it promises. The material doesn't feel the best and it's kind of weird actually but it's no deal-breaker by any means. For the price it's well worth purchasing. 4 stars

Great to use on a hot day at the golf course

I got this cooling towel to use while playing golf since the summers where I live can be unbearable. This towel worked wondering while I was on the golf course. The material is soft and durable and great for use during any outdoor activity. The towel is so easy to use. All i had to do was get it wet before we tee'd off, wring it out and use it between holes. It stayed cold during the whole time I was playing. the first time I used it I only wet it before my tee time and it last until about the 15th hole before it slowed down on being cool. The second time I used it, I re-wet it after finished the front nine and it kept me cool during the whole game. The material is great because even though it feels wet it isn't really wet and it doesn't feel any heavier than it would if it was dry. Super easy to use with just a wave in a circle the cooling is activated and makes the day out here a whole lot bearable. I definitely recommend this product if you are looking for a easy way to stay cool during hot activities or to use during the summer months to keep you cool. For the price, I really would I would have found this product sooner. Great product, I've been telling all my friends about it and recommending it all over the place

It works!!!

It works! It came initially in a sealed bag with some moisture in it and it really smelled funky, but that worked itself out. When you load it with cold water, it stays cold for a long time. This will come in very handy next summer. I had never considered a product like this, but it does work... and works well.

For hot flashes

I use a fan for my hot flashes but the problem is at night when I sleep. I decided to give this towel a try. I wet the towel and have next to my bed, the towel does not drip water. When the hot flash awakes me, I can reach for the towel to put on my neck and cool me down. Of course, this is something you can use during the day, but with a regular office job, you will no be able to carry it around. It works great for hot flashes, if you have experience them, then you know that you need instant cooling for about a minute. The towel is perfect for cooling, better than the fan, and you an use it for fitness as well. I know the towel was intended for fitness, but I was looking for a solution to my hot flashes since it is clear that no pill in the world will cure them.
