Proper fit for short guys, good value

First off, this is one of the only short bib ski overalls that fits correctly in rise (crotch). Most manufacturers simply shorten the legs while not making any alterations elsewhere. This invariably makes the pants too long in the crotch which restricts your movement, feels uncomfortable and looks a bit like you've got sagger pants on. Arctix seems to have the short fit worked out. Note that these are NOT made from fancy 2L or 3L laminate waterproof / breathable fabric. They are basic coated polyester with an exterior DWR finish. Arctix claims "5000mm Thermalock" which, if the 5000mm claim is accurate, should be good for most conditions other than wet snow or rain. I wore these skiing in conditions ranging from super cold (12°F) to just above freezing (35°F) and they were fine. Decent warmth and they didn't get wet under my butt riding lifts with fresh snow on the seats. One thing I do to most of my cheaper winter gear is to wash them once, tumble dry, then hit them with an extra coating of NikWax DWR or, even better if you can find it, Bayes Fabric Protectant spray. Tumble dry again on low heat and you're good to go for months. Most importantly, they fit.

Well….

I bought the Blue Night color & in all the photos the bib is a solid dark blue all over except the black elastic straps. But what I received has these weird gray patches at the inner bottom of both legs, and a gray hem. There’s no gray anywhere else so it just looks like a weird afterthought or like they ran out of the blue material. Also, I’m 5’11” and 220lbs, and I typically wear a 36/32 pant, which always fits with no bagginess. I read the reviews that said “size up” so I got the XXL with a 32 inseam because I bought these for skiing so I don’t want them tight or restricting my range of movement. But I’m positively SWIMMING in them. I’m talking crazy baggy almost everywhere, like an anorexic wearing a fat suit. The only exception being that the crotch is trying it’s darnest to give me a mammal toe. I’d loosen the elastic straps up top to give the boys room to breathe, if the legs weren’t already 3” too long. Because of the awkward fit I really can’t even assess or review the quality. I’ll definitely be returning these, and either going with an XL & short inseam or possibly opting for a different product altogether.

It helps out by keeping multiple layers off yourself

What I like is that you can move around easily in them without much worry of splitting the seams out, easy to get into and out of, and provides a nice layer of warmth. I used it for this winter season and with the blizzard we had, all I needed for that was foot warmers and a pair of leg warmers and I was outside with no issues being cold. Dislikes is that the inseam didn’t have a shorter size , shoulder straps like to slide back quite often, not many pockets (at least for my job and what I carry with me), and the leg pocket broke the seam really fast so it’s been useless. Overall, it’s a good pick. After I started wearing these at work, I noticed other coworkers wearing the same thing as me!

Great for tall people

My teenage son is 6ft 6in and he's thin, 180 lb and I've always had a hard time finding pants and shirts with the right fit. These pants are great for him (I got the L /Tall) and he likes them a lot.

Warmth

I fished with these on in 30deg weather, felt comfortable, just a little snug , order size up from what you normally wear to adjust for clothing underneath, wasn’t cold at all from chest down.

Overall Fit!

Realky liked this product!! Excellent fit, it moves well with You in multiple jobs, ie: snow machines and manual shoveling!! Definitely warm enough down in the lower 20 degrees without any lower long under garments!!

Great ski pants!

Bought these for my ski trip this year and was not disappointed. They look great and feel great to put on. Arrived very fast and were packaged well. I was more convinced this was a great buy when i noticed several pairs of the same pants on multiple men at the ski resort ????

GREAT QUALITY AND THEY FIT MY 5’4” 130# grandson PERFECTLY

These snow pants are better than what I even expected. They have strong sturdy shoulder straps and plenty of zippered pockets for keeping things safe while skiing and the material they are made from is great…. Thick but very soft and comfortable Sizing for my 13 year old 5’4” 130# grandson was EXACTLY as described Purchased size M with 30” inseam I am extremely happy with these bibbed snow pants they fit perfectly

ATV/Snowmobile intentions, here’s the scoop

Bought to face the cold New-Brunswick in full ATV speeds, hoping they would compare to full on Olympia/FXR/Klim gear. Ya no. They really don’t, you can keep hoping to find a review that does say best thing ever like I did but thumbs me up later cause no they won’t be what your hoping will save you a bundle. Had to instantly admit defeat upon opening the package. I ended up buying the real deal for my ATV outings thought I return these cause now a extra $70 in, but these will be perfect for everything but that so I don’t wear out my good stuff playing with the kid, snowblowing etc. Want the B quality this is perfect. Your life depends on it spend 4 times more or 4.25 like I did. UPDATE: been using these 5months now over the winter for everything but motorsports and they are very warm, anyone not needed the ultimate will be more that fulfill by these. They could even do winter motorsports if you don't need the best or willing to spend big for that, just size up and layer under.

Unreal deal

Tested Ice fishing in Thunder Bay, ON. Saw lots of snow, ice and fish blood. Washed up great. Unreal investment. First I thought they were too long but that extra length sat up nicely and made bending on my knees to haul up a big whitefish easy and left no stress on the seams.

Great product for the money

I was never brave enough to spend a lot of money buying winter clothes from the top brands so I did some research and came across this product. I used outdoors with no other pants underneath and it was very comfortable and warm. Definitely recommend. Good quality. One disappointment was the way the product was packed, dirty, so something to be looked at in the packing and shipping department.

Sturdy well built product

Pretty happy overall with these bibs. They seem to be good quality, have lots of pockets on them, are warm (and waterproof so far), the suspenders are comfy, and they even have a tab to latch my tether to. So, bonus points to Arctix for adding in features that are needed for snowmobiling. Well thought out design. The only real drawback is they don't fit "true to size", I have several pairs of other bibs and all of them are Large, bought these in Large as well, but they are right on the verge of being so tight I can't wear them. Wish I had bought 1 size up from my normal.

So far….love em!

Just got my new snow pants today! I much appreciate the shipment arriving 2 days early! I gotta say, I really like these! As soon as I open them up I was very impressed with the look and the feel! Not cheap feeling at all and the Khaki color is great! Tried them on and they for my 6’, 250 lbs husky frame just perfectly! I bought the 2 xl btw. Now the test…threw them on, went into the garage loaded up the snowmobile and headed to the lake. Very impressed with the comfort, and after 2 hours of riding I was warm and dry! I even spent some time kneeling in wet snow and not an ounce of water got through! Huge win! I don’t know what else to say other then if you’re looking for a real nice pair of snow pants that won’t break the bank, keeps you nice and warm and dry, then I suggest ordering up a pair. Very impressed!
