Your BFF if Your Tools Wander Off

I affectionately refer to my Mr Hands as my "handy boyfriend." I have three boys who like to play pretend and help out around the house - I'm also a forgetful person. Everyone knows the frustration of going to work on a project, hang a shelf, whatever, and not having the right tool or head size for the job - you wind up digging through your junk drawer or tool box, wasting time trying to find the right tool for the right job. Mr. Hands is an all-around solution to this problem. Now, if you can find your Mr Hands, you usually have what you need ((there are hex key tools that are similar to this product - would also recommend getting a set of those!)) I have two of these in my home and one in my car. PROS: + Multiple tool shapes and heads at your disposal with a single tool; if you try one and it's not quite the right fit, you can switch to another with no effort. + Built-in flashlight + Affordable price vs. buying an entire tool set + The smallest head works on *most* tiny children's toy screws. CONS: - The metal used seems to be somewhat soft; these, in my experience, have worn out faster than a regular tool (bought alone or in a well-made kit) would. - Small size means torque can be an issue - I sometimes have to track down the bigger version of the tool I'm using because I just can't get enough force out of my Mr Hands.

Another good addition in the Apollo line

I've used the original Mr. 7 hands model for years. I work a lot with laptops and I've found that it's hard to find screwdrivers with small enough heads but wide handles (for better torque/leverage). This screwdriver fits the bill. I have multiple versions of this line and they are all excellent. The advantages are: - Multiple sized screws, everything to get at both laptop and desktop screws of all sizes - Wide grip allows for easier removal of screws - Small "eyeglass" sized Philips & Flathead has been used by others in the office for their glasses quite often - Magnetic coat really helps lift out screws from tight places - Clip on this model has been redesigned for much easier access to batteries for the light - This model has LED lights which are brighter the the old model with a yellow incandescent bulb Cons: - The flashlight version makes a bit of a creaking noise, I'm guessing it has to do with the addition of the large flashlight unit at the top, the older non-flashlight version did not do this - My copy seems to have one of the screwdrivers just slightly out of alignment, I have to push on it a bit to lock the head into place. I'm guessing this is just my copy. - There's only one switch for both LED lights, so you always have to cycle thru, small light/large light/off I saw Apollo tools was clearing out their "old" regular Mr. 7 hand copies. I'm guessing that those were the old yellow lightbulb version and the new regular Mr. 7 hands will probably feature the redesigned clip found on this model along with the one small LED light..I assure you the small LED light is just about as bright as the larger one, if I had a choice I'd probably stick with the original model, assuming they realy do give it the new clip design and swap the lighting type.... I have yet to get the "new" regular model myself so I can't confirm it. This "flashlight" version however, is still pretty solid and I'll be keeping it for home use. My original will stay in the office where it gets daily use.

Very useful!

I love having one of these around. Much easier to have this guy to hand than needing to dig around for the exact screwdriver you need! Not as sturdy as a bit-switch screwdriver, but faster, and nice when you're switching out screws that need different bits from each other. Still tempted to get a second one...

Good tool for the price

For the price, it is not a bad product but I do have a few things that can be improved. It is harder than necessary to pull out each screwdriver size. It is not very comfortable to hold. The size is bigger than it has to be in my opinion. The dual flashlight is handy but not sure if it is worth the extra weight and size. I do like the fact that it has most of the tools that I would need for simple jobs. If I just need to do some small stuffs then instead of carrying a whole box, I can just carry this.

Use it frequently!

Go to tool in my house. I have two of these- kitchen and upstairs. Happy with the function and flexibility.
