Solid Tools

These are excellent heavy-duty socket wrench accessories. (No wrench included!) The sizes are more appropriate for vehicle work than for general home use -- I haven't gotten much use out of them yet, although I'd like to because they are really nice. The only thing I don't like is the huge, unnecessary case. A good case for this kind of set is important to keep the sizes organized, but as you can see from the photos, this one's much bigger (and heavier) than it had to be. Fine for storing and using in your garage; not so handy for carrying around. (My socket set is part of a 103-piece general mechanic tool set, and the case for that entire set is about 2/3 the size and half the weight of this one!) And I don't get the clear plastic window on the front -- if you accidentally put something heavy on it, it'll crack. I guess it makes the case a bit lighter, so that's a plus.

Case is not good, but set is a must have

This was kind of a starter-type kit for our household. We have a few bits and pieces in our tool kit, but nothing beyond hanging a picture or drilling some holes. This is a great sixteen piece set that covers various extensions and adapters that was useful for making what things we do have work with what I need. The chrome polish on these also helps to reduce the amount of rust that occurs with wear and tear. The case leaves something to be desired. There's a large clear plastic part that is just asking to get cracked with any sort of repetitive use. I wish this either came with a roll up fabric with pockets in it for storage or nothing at all.

16 piece Socket Accessories Set . 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" & 3/4" wrench not included

This is more designed for the serious mechanic because some of these sizes I have never used in my 30 plus years as a home owner. This is a 16 piece extender and adapter set for socket wrench (not included) luckily i already have myStanley STMT71648 40-Piece Socket Set . So these 16 pieces will increase the utility of this set. Made in China distributed by the Apex Tool company.

Excellent addition to any socket set

This is a great set of handles, extensions, and adapters for my pre-existing socket set. There are extensions to get to about any space imaginable. Especially nice are the adapters that allow you to turn corners as you use a socket. This set really rounded out my existing socket set. I take a star off because of the case, which is quite nice, and allows you to see what is in the kit, but doesn't allow you to transport it without all the extensions from falling from their slots. Other than that it is s great set.

Getting the job done.

A well made, very solid set of extensions and adaptors for your socket set. There are no sockets included as I found out. I didn't read the description thoroughly before ordering. That said this is a great addition to any socket set that will enable you to reach all those hard to get at places on your car or tractor. I can't count the times I have needed a set like this in the past and gone wanting. I now feel I am ready for anything that comes my way. I was not as impressed by the carrying case and quickly found room in my tool chest for these handy extensions.

Many Useful Adapters and Extensions

The Crescent name has been around for a long time making various mechanic’s hand tools. I’ve always had good luck with their products. This is a 16 piece extender and adapter set for sockets (not included). Most mechanics are familiar and use 1/4”, 3/8”, and ½” drive ratchet wrenches, with 3/8” probably being the most utilized. These extenders allow the mechanic to reach further with his wrench and socket to get to a hard to reach nut. The adapters allow him to mate different sized drive sockets to ratchets. For instance, a 3/8” ratchet can be mated to a ¼” drive socket by an adapter. An extension can also be added to give an extra 3” or 6” reach. This set has 5 different adapters for a combination of different ratchet to socket matings. It also has two breaker bars, 10” and 18” for removing difficult nuts. All the items are finished with a chrome polish. This should protect the extensions and adapters from water and resulting rust. All the units should prove useful at some time, although the ½” to ¾” adapter will not see any use in my toolbox. ¾” drive sockets are generally out of my league and useful when working on dump trucks perhaps. The items were all packaged in a plastic see through case very suitable for storage, but in my opinion unnecessary. These are the kinds of tools that get unpacked and put into the tool box. Save the money on the case and lower the cost of the product. This set has many of the adapters and extensions needed to fully utilize the application of socket and ratchet when working on mechanicals.

Very happy with these well made tools

Great solid tools with a solid carrying case. I'm very happy. However, next time, don't make it so difficult to get into.
