Great tool, so nice to have
Love having this in my pocket. Some of the tools are hard to use but still usable. It gives a purpose to that stupid pocket watch pocket on jeans because it fits PERFECT.

Decent quality but...
Seems pretty sturdy with lots of tool options, but I'm not quite sure where it fits in. It's too big to be comfortable in a pocket or on a keychain, but too small to bother keeping in the car (where I have a small bag of actual tools). Maybe keep it in a range bag or something just in case.

Depends on your usage and what you want to get out of it.
So in my search for some small pocket tools, I took a chance on this guy. My indented purpose was to toss it in my range bag, as most of the tools present would easily resolve any issues that pop up while out shooting (fixing target stands, super basic maintenance like screws, basic punch functions, etc). Mostly, a traditional multi-tool gets used in these situations, but sometimes you just don't want to hand your ~$100 tool to the guy next to you who's gear looks like it's been maintained with rocks. That being said, there are some pros and cons with the Micro-Max Xtreme Pros: - Grinds on the tools are satisfactory. Not super precise, but not nearly as rounded off as the ones on the smaller MicroMax 19. - Overall, the finish is better as well. There's still plenty of tool and casting marks, but the larger tool makes those less apparent - Pliers come together just fine, opening and closing isn't hampered by the terrible internal bottle opener on the smaller models - speaking of the bottle opener, it works. That's actually high praise for small multitools, honestly. Cons: - As with all the other current Swiss+Tech tools of this design, the rivets on the handles are significantly cheaper and thinner than the older tools from a few years ago. They don't have much "meat" to them, so when they inevitably get loose (very quickly) there isn't much you can do to tap them tight again - More handle rivet complaints. The mass of the tools easily overwhelms the tiny pivots. tools will flop around on you during use if you put some torque on them. - Calling this a pocket tool is... not entirely accurate. It's big. Like, not really comfortable in your pocket, hurts your ass if you sit on it big. So if I have these problems, why the high rating? Well, it is what it is: an OK tool for quick fixes when you don't have the right "real" tool handy, or you don't feel comfortable lending out the right tool for a quick and dirty job. It'll sit in the side pocket of my range bag, and one day when I need to twist some fence wire together on the target line, or tighten up the hex socket on my fore grip, it'll be there. It's not something I would EDC, but then I don't feel it's intended for that role.

Very nice multi-tool!
Ever since the first Leatherman multi-tool came out, I've been a huge fan of multi-tools in general. We used to be issued them in the military, and they were extremely useful. When I saw this Swiss+Tech tool I was very intrigued, the amount of tools, the price, and the profile being so flat, made me eager to try it out. After receiving it, it didn't take me long to realize this tool is mainly a driver. The main tools on this are the six screw drivers, the three Allen head drivers, a small hand drill, and the pliers. Also something that didn't occur to me when I ordered it, there's no knife. Although, there's 22 very useful tools, which include wire cutters, crimpers, 1/4" and 7/16" nut wrenches, rulers, bottle opener, among others. As for not having a knife, I carry a knife anyways, and the knives I carry do what knives are supposed to do much better than any multi-tool knife blade. So for me it's not an issue. The carry ability of this tool is refreshing. It's flat, it fits in a pocket very nicely, and it's not too heavy. If you don't have any pocket space anywhere, you can unfold the tool and clamp the pliers around a strap on a backpack, fold it back down and it won't be falling off until you unfold it. The tools all work fine, and the metal is strong enough that you can put a fair amount of torque on the tools and nothing bends or breaks. The pliers work really good, but when you're clamping the pliers down, squeeze evenly. If you torque the handles as you're squeezing, the handle arms tend to move out of alignment. I found that I can bear down and get more clamping pressure than my Leatherman pliers, so now I carry this with my leatherman. Very useful tool, I'm very happy with it.

Useful product; a little heavy and bulky, but generally worth it
This is a solid, quality product. It's exactly as advertised and I have found all the tools useful and effective. This product is a great way to carry around a wide variety of common tools in a single package, much more convenient than trying to keep track of various screwdrivers, pliers, etc. The only minor drawbacks are weight (a bit on the heavy side, although that also makes it feel very sturdy) and the fact that its compact design makes it slightly awkward to use versus, say, a standard screwdriver. For example. I wouldn't want to try to unscrew dozens of screws using this tool, but it works well for a few when you don't have a regular screwdriver available. For me, having all these tools readily available definitely outweighs the awkwardness. Also, this tool seems to be TSA-friendly, although it will get you a little extra attention. There aren't any blades on it, and it passed the detailed scrutiny of a TSA agent when I went through airport security last week. However, they are likely to want to pull it out for a closer look since they can't tell whether it's "safe" or not in its folded up form. To simplify and expedite screening, I'd recommend pulling it out of your bag separately just like a laptop.
