NOT for <61hz

Works great, as advertized. When i ordered, i could have sworn i was only getting a DP to DVI-D because my ONLY reason for getting this cable was to display 144hz. Either i am an idiot and put the wrong device in my cart, or the whole page changed to scam me... Im gonna place my bets on the first option... Cant believe i was so ignorant as to order a cable that i already have, but im not petty enough to return it for a few bucks that it already cost me... Cant complain, works great, has great build quality, thick shielded cable. Definitely worth the money if your just looking for an adapter to make an antiquitous connection work again after a G-card update/ or whatever..

Girthy and does exactly what it's supposed to do.

I have an older monitor with just DVI and a PC with only Displayport and this cable works no issues. It's also pretty thick and seems tough.

Good quality and perfect fit

Changed docks with a new laptop snd of course the new one uses full size DisplayPort and the prior one used mini-DisplayPort. This cord does the job! Prior one also from Amazon Basics

DOES WHAT IT'S SUPPOSED TO DO

I needed to connect an older LG display with only VGA & DVI ports to my GPU's Displayport port. Works like a charm. Although the DP connector doesn't actually "snap" into the GPU port (like a good DP connector should) it likely isn't going to work its way loose anytime soon. I'm satisfied with it.

Did not work!

This did not work to connect my computer DP to my monitor DVI. No signal. Nothing. Zip. Nada. I have confirmed the DisplayPort works on my computer with another cable, as does the DVI port on the monitor. I also tried updating the computer's graphics driver. All to no avail. Maybe DisplayPort just really does not like connecting to DVI - or maybe this was a defunct cable. Either way, useless to me and I have returned it. The external design of this cable was also pretty poor. In particular, the bolt screws on the sides of the DVI plug were so fiddly and stiff compared to other DVI cables I have used, I could barely even do them up with my fingers and needed a screwdriver to get them undone again.

"IT JUST WORKS" if you lack DVI ports but have a few Displayports (you know the HDMIish ports with a square end,) Just get these cables to convert them, However, if you have VGA monitors you'll need an ACTIVE DP converter cable mini-dp or otherwise. my old GPU had Mini DP ports this one lacks the 2nd DVI port but has 2 DP and 2 HDMI so if you're using old-school DVI monitors these cables work fine. 3m length is enough for the Monitor set up i use as all 3 monitors are mounted above eye level and all go pretty neetly in to the GPU with slack to spare.

Does not do 144hz

Bought this hoping to connect my new 2080ti graphics card display port to my 144hz monitor and it only supports 60hz. Do not buy this if you want 144hz output. Quality is fine but not what I wanted to achieve.

Simpy put, it did not work

I was looking forward to receiving / using this cable and loved that Amazon basics included it within their range, however, it did not work. I then bought another cable somewhere else and it worked fine. Considering how cheap this was, it would cost me more money in time, to go through the inconvenience of returning it. Regarding how much value I get from Amazon Prime delivery and TV wise, I will let this one fly......

Doesn’t work for 144hz

I got this cord in hopes of getting 144hz on my monitor, I have a rtx 2070 and it only has display ports, so I figured I’d get this cord which will give me my 144 hz going from a DP to DVI and no go.
