Perfect HD clarity.

Great quality cables! My cat chews on cables but im not worried about these at all! The connections are solid and i have had this cable bent at a pretty extreme angle and i was surprised to find that there were no shorts in the cable. I would recommended this to anyone and will definitely buy this again if needed! The Hand screws are easy to use and are not too depressed to work difficult to get to which is one of the most frustrating things with some of these types of cables this cable seem to be fine. But to be honest I didn't even really use the hand screws that much I tend to move my monitors around when I first moved because I couldn't get happy with the set up and I've actually just left the cable plugged in without it screwed in and it seems the hold up fine. I even have my monitor hooked up to a wall mount that swivels and tilts and even with all the swelling and tilting the cable is holding up fine and it's not causing any damage to my monitor or the pins. SMU may know the DVI cable is an HD quality cable in my particular situation I had the choice between HDMI or the DVI cord I chose to go with this DVI cord because of the thickness in the cable and the security of the connection also in the past I have had trouble with HDMI cable's shorting out because of my current set up in the extreme angle that my cords are b SMU may know the DVI cable is an HD quality cable in my particular situation I had the choice between HDMI or the DVI cord I chose to go with this DVI cord because of the thickness in the cable and the security of the connection also in the past I have had trouble with HDMI cable's shorting out because of my current set up in the extreme angle that my cords are bit too ent to. Beefy Girth

This is one solid cable. The girth on this cable is much wider (beefier) than my other DVI cables. In fact, it's wider than even the power cable connected to my workstation. It's the beefiest cable I own. I've never seen a video cable so thick in my whole entire life. Wow!

As others have noted, this is a DVI-D (dual link) cable which supports higher resolutions that a standard single link DVI cable. These cables are well made, and just as sturdy as you will find on any good cable. The shielding is high quality, the connectors are snug and it does not stick out more than it has to. The cord will wrap, bend, twist easily as well, which is something often overlooked as most cables with thick shielding are too stiff to manipulate. Do not waste your money going out to the chain stores and spending a ton of money on big name brand cables that have more money in their packaging than their product (looking at you monster products). I have used the AmazonBasics brand for so many things. These cables, HDMI cables, indoor antennae (comparable to the mohu leaf), and surge protectors as well as anything else Ive seen the Amazon brand on. They will work just as good if not better, and cost a lot less. Sure, there are cable manufacturers that can get you the same cable, cheaper, but you will be hard pressed to find one that is cheaper that also has a good return policy, and that will get it to you with free 2 day shipping. The packaging on these are what they should be with a cable. A small, simple, cardboard box that the cable fits in perfectly. Not some hard to open, thick, plastic, clamshell case covered in graphics that cost more than the actual cable and are a pain to open.

DVI-D cable works, but advertising nub is a problem

Another reviewer mentioned the plastic "Amazon Basics" nub on the connector. They said it made it impossible to get a tight connection, since the nub is on the side that lies up against the back of the monitor. I couldn't really picture what they were talking about, so I decided to order the cable anyway. I see now that the other person was absolutely right. The ridiculous thing is that the advertisement can never be seen by anyone, since it is facing the back of the monitor. You have to wonder if this was designed by someone who has never actually installed a video cable. I decided to try it anyway, and I felt like I was able to get a good connection. So far, the cable seems to be working. I also do not like the cheap plastic that you use to tighten down the cable with a screwdriver - it is too flimsy and easy to damage.

Rare instance where the cheap price does not necessarily equal worser quality.

Has worked real well thus far with no issues in terms of picture quality since it's purchase in 2018. I suppose this is those rare instances where the cheaper the price does not become reflected doing what it's suppose to do that being providing picture clarity and quality. I visited a blog site to inquire about building a PC. With his help I was able to and he informed me when asking about picture quality that there's no different between a DVI and HDMI, Whether or not that's still true or not I can say that this DVI is way better than VGA, I think that's what's called.

Another Amazon cable winner. Recommended.

This is a review I wrote for a different Amazon cable but all I said there pretty much applies here: Amazon cables are a good deal. I have ordered, and am using, several Amazon cables (USB, HDMI) that have proved to be very high quality and this one is no exception. I was actually having a little bit of flickering with a pretty new monitor and was considering if I should send it back. Then I tried this cable. Now I have absolutely no problem with a strong, steady signal so now I'm not only happy with this cable, I can be happy with my monitor too. Besides cables, I use Amazon rechargeable batteries, a case for small electronics and even one of my camera bags is an Amazon. I am not receiving anything for this opinion. I just want to put this out there because it is so refreshing to get all these good products and reasonable prices. Give Amazon's own products a try.

You don't need a more expensive cable than this

There's not a lot one can say about a lead like this - it is a DVI to DVI cable - but you already knew that...... right? It is a solidly built cable from Amazon's "AmazonBasic" range, and trust me on this - but you don't need a more expensive cable than this. No matter how impressive the other DVI to DVI cables you have been looking at are, with their fancy gold plating and impressive diagrams/photos of the internals of their cable, this cable is all you need and you really don't need to spend any more money than this. One thing I would say though is...... measure, measure, measure! I'm reading so many posts that say the cable they bought was too short, well do your homework and measure for what length you need.

It's a Cable and works well

I bought this to go with a new 27" 1080p monitor and as expected it works fine without any issues. It's a fully wired dual link DVI D cable so would support 144hz however my new monitor is just 60hz, so I can't coment on how well it works past 100hz or 1440p but the cable is very well shielded, has ferrite cores either end, gold connectors and judging by it's weight has a high copper content, so I'm sure it'd be fine.

Basic by Name, Not by Quality!

I needed a new DVI lead for a new monitor. I have used Amazon Basic cables before and been very impressed with them, so ordered this one. I was not disappointed, the build quality is anything BUT basic! Very solidly-made connectors, very chunky cabling and ferrite cores at each end - excellent! The one thing that did make me scratch my head though was the packaging. It said in the blurb supplied in 'frustration-free' packaging. It was - but then it was sealed in a plastic jiffy bag, with no easy way in. Even my craft knife had trouble getting through! The lead itself was brilliant though and excellent value, so I'm very happy!

Earn a Doctorate in Dvi cabling!

Great, sturdy cable, well made and working perfectly...now I've finally worked out which bloody cable I needed! They don't make it easy. For me, this cable goes into one of the dual dvi connectors (coming from the graphics card), into the dvi-d port on my monitor. Ignore claims made about more expensive cables. They all work exactly the same. Plugged this bad boy in, and Voilà! Robert's your mother's brother. Sorted.
