Tie down straps
I was so excited to have my first bike rack! Until my super experienced biking son put it on and we couldn't feed the tie down strap through the opening. This is when the edge of the strap was brand new, so only imagine after wear and fraying. If there was another way he would have figured it out. It just didn't work. Pretty disappointing.

Does not require drilling holes in the car.
I use the rack to carry my ebike when going to a place that is too far away to ride the ebike.

Strong , compact bike rack
The material seems very good. It is very strong and had great support holders. It was pretty easy to assemble except for the brace bracket. There are ample warnings that you can pinch your fingers. I just found it very difficult to bend the brace enough to insert it correctly. I used a set of pliers, and it was easy to put it in place.

Fantastic Bike Carrier
I was skeptical about this carrier but decided to pull the trigger for our beach trip. I read a lot of reviews and watched a couple videos prior to installation. I did end up taking another reviewers advice and wrapped the metal ends with electrical tape. This seems to give the ends more grip and they did not move at all. I also did a practice install a day ahead of time to figure out how it all works. If you look at my photos I installed it on the back of our Buick Enclave. I did secure the bikes to the rack with a couple bungee cords just for my peace of mind. I had Velcro ties on the wheels to keep them from spinning and to keep the bike forks straight. Only issue I had was getting the mongoose bike with the rotor and routed break cabling to sit correctly in the holder. That was not an issue with the carrier but the bike design and how they routed the break lines under the center bar. I tightened everything down, put the bikes on, tightened everything again. Rode around the block and came back and made sure everything was good. Had no issues with the unit slipping or becoming loose. Had no damage to the car. The bikes were on tight, they never moved. The trip was 4 hours on every type of road from 2 lane bumpy back country to 70mph interstate highway. Never had an issue. Stopped about 1/2 way to stretch my legs and checked the bikes, still rock solid. I have no hesitation to recommend this carrier. Just do your homework and take some time before you leave to figure out the best way to install this on your vehicle and you’ll be fine.

Bike Size Matters
I bought this 2 bike deluxe rack specifically, b/c the reviews were good & it has a heavy quality steel structure. Also, it comes with the steel bar adaptor for women's bikes. Upon installing the rack on a BMW sedan trunk, I noticed 2 important issues. First, the side strap metal clips can't really go on sideways. They can attach on top of the trunk at a diagonal. Otherwise the trunk can't close. Second & more importantly, upon setting the bike with adaptor on the rack, I kept the chain facing out as advised. The rear wheel sticks out from behind the car by about 10". Mind you, this is a 19" bike frame. Even if you turn the bike around, whereby the metal could scratch the car, the rear wheel will stick out the right side. The only solution is to remove the quick release on the rear wheel & carry it separately. Needless to say, re-attaching the rear wheel every time is very inconvenient. You'd also need to rig protection for the dangling chain. One solution might be shortening the seat stem adaptor hook and using some type of latch for it so that the bike adaptor can be adjusted horizontally to distribute weight & size symmetrically. It's a solid rack that needs bike size limitation mentioned. Otherwise, it's fine for smaller framed bicycles.

Allen Sports Deluxe 2-bike rack and Adaptive Bar
These products are made from very high-quality materials and are easy to use especially for the price! The only “easy to assemble” part that I had and still have a harder time with is being able to assemble and dissemble the two silver chrome bars on the sides. They take a lot of strength that I don’t always feel I have and precaution because I did pinch my fingers a little when I first pulled and snapped the bars into place. Thankfully, my fingers were not clamped all the way, but I can’t imagine what the excruciating pains or phalangeal damages would be like if my fingers ever get accidentally clamped while reassembling or disassembling those chrome bars one day. Those chrome bars need to be snapped into place to hold the rack’s frames in place, but I can’t fold the rack to make it fit into smaller storage spaces unless I pull those chrome bars back out which feels like a highly potential hazard each time. The task got easier as I used the bike rack more often, but those chrome bars were extremely difficult to handle the first couple of times for me. Overall, I still think I will got my money’s worth!

Good product for a great price!
I liked that it was easy to figure out how to put together. Understanding where on the car to put it was another thing, I think I had it too high - but it worked. I did notice that as time went by the straps did loosen and it was difficult to adjust because I had to tie the strap ends down so they didn’t flop around. It was hard to get the hooks over the top of the hatch and I needed to buy protectors to keep them from scratching the car. The side straps didn’t stay in place, I just made them tighter, but they still slipped. I could not figure out how to attach the hooks to the bottom of the car, so I just hooked them around the bottom of the hatch. You have to take the bike(s) off when ever you want to open the hatch, but I expected that. As I says it worked for me and it was a good buy, just wanted to let everyone know what to expect.

Works great on my Corolla
Excellent product. Easy to to attach to car. I added one bicycle and did a test drive around the neighborhood with no issues. Then I went for a 20KM drive on the highway with twists & turns, a construction zone and plenty of bumps. I'm happy to report that upon stopping, the rack was still securely attached with no loosening of the straps nor movement of the hooks. I did wrap the hooks with gaffers tape to prevent slippage and or scratching. The bicycle remained secure during the trip with no loosening of its straps either. I am very happy with this economical bike rack and would highly recommend this product. *****

Works with mid-size SUV
I purchased this after scrolling through a number of different bike racks. I was having a hard time finding a description or even pictures that showed the rack mounted on an SUV. I have a 2017 Jeep Cherokee. I'm happy to say that this rack fit well. I think the trick is figuring out how it will fit your SUV but once you figure out the fit it works great. It securely attached to the back of the Jeep - the straps have a good length. The rubber bumpers are large and thick, no worries about damaging the paint. The attachment points for the bike frame are moulded and hold the bike in place. The instructions say that you should tie the front wheel to the bike frame to avoid it moving and hitting your SUV during transporting - I was surprised they didn't include a couple of small bungies for this. I had to find my own. This is the only reason didn't give it 5 stars. I haven't tried with 2 bikes yet but I have no concerns that it will work fine.

good rack
this is great value for money...very happy with it. Very secure and very easy to install and remove. Glad I did not fork over way more money just for a fancier name. Save some money and invest it--that is by far the smarter choice!! :)

Made it across Canada!
We moved across Canada with this rack and two bikes on the back of our 2004 Honda Civic. Despite our doubts, this rack held up so well! There was minimal damage to the car - none at all from the rack - it was only because we had the peddles in the wrong position and they left some scratches. I would definitely recommend the rack with 2 caveats: 1. We were pulled over in Thunderbay because the rack obstructs our license plate. I don’t believe there are any racks that don’t do this, and we were unfortunate enough to pass a cop with an agenda. Could be solved with a temporary license plate tacked onto the bikes. 2. We used duct tape to cover the metal hooks as we read reviews that they would damage the car otherwise. Worked perfectly!!

Awesome!
Perfect for quick set up. I used it on the trunk of my Mazda 3 sedan. It does have the potential to scratch the trunk up if you arnt careful with it though. Haven't played with adding something softer under the clips. I have driven on high ways and over speed bumps with it, and seems perfectly fine. Does exactly what I wanted it to do. Does fit two bikes.
