Actually works great!
I bought this the the edges of my cross stitch projects. It was a little messy putting on, but I think that was mostly user error as I had already started the piece and didn’t take it out of the ring, but after it dried, perfect … no more losing rows with fraying.

Good product
Used this all around fraying edges, and the product has not washed off in the washer. That is a great product, does what it is supposed to do.

Good product
Solves my problem with fraying material in tiny spaces.

Dries stiffer than some But clear
Does what it’s supposed to do, but leaves the ribbon or fabric feeling stiff, unlike Fray Check, which has a softer feel after it dries. Nevertheless, it does stop fraying, just a little stiffly, but does dry clear. Oh, I drilled a hole in the top of the bottle instead of cutting the top part off to help make the flow more controllable (take the cap off and drill it from the inside). Just an idea.

Handy product
I’ve been using this for years now, I love it! So handy for so many things. Although it’s really tough to get washed off of your fingers and acrylic nails! So I suggest taking time to put on a disposable glove before you use it. I actually use it really often. Let’s say your favorite little sundress got tagged on a nail, add a drop a fray check to the area and let that dry before you stitch it up. Your repair will look much nicer when it’s finished end it won’t get worse when you wash it. Just a great product to keep in your sewing kit or even in your laundry room. Also, it dries very quickly, quicker than some of the other brands that I have tried.

Always a handy product to have on hand
This is my second bottle of Aleene's Stop-Fraying over many years of using it. This is not just for people who sew. So handy for mending all sorts of fraying textile items. Apply the smallest trace all the way up in size to a large bead, and it will do the job invisibly and beautifully. Goes on white and dries clear, and not overly shiny or matte in finish. And the repair is permanently strong and wears perfectly, even if you launder it. No fumes, no staining, no solvent marks. My most recent repair was on the corner of a deeply loved Asian area rug that was developing a very small frayed part right on the tip of the corner. Looks like new!

Super product, used for raincoat refurbishment to terrific condition
For a nylon raincoat I used Aleene's Stop Fraying to repair taped seams in a raincoat . The seam tape had come partially unglued in various places over time. I pulled all the tape off all seams, whether loose or not, and applied Aleene's Stop-Fraying to the inide and outside of all the seams, concentrating on getting the product into the threaded stiching at the seams with a !//4" overlap on each side of the stiching, Used a small cheap almost kids type paint brush to make the application somewhat neat. Also, finished the project sprayed a waterproofing revival type spray over the breathable raincoat. The Aleene's product holds teaciously to the nylon, and will serve the double purpose to stop fraying of the nylon edges that extend past the stiching, and it will also prevent water leakedge at the stiching thread holes. This is a great product and I now have utmost confidence the raincoat will work as well as new again, and will keep me dry in a downpour! It took quit a bit of time for application area by area with drying intervas in between for the amount that could be brushed on at once with material flat. But when up against Mother Nature it will have been worth it!

Works Great!
This works great for the Patio Furniture fabric. I just put a dab about every 6-8 inches around it after I’ve sewn it together. Dries clear.

A tip for those who find it too gooy
This product is very thick and it dries like hard rubber. If you don't like this finish you can mix parts of fray check and water in a small bottle. Use warm water to make it dissolve easily and once you have it ready mixed, you can use it anytime you want, just agitate the small bottle and use it. You can leave it to dry on its own or use an hair dryer. Once it has dried on the fabric check that the consistency you made it's ok. Depending on the thickness of fabric, you may want to add more or less fray check to the mix with water. This is something you'll get right by trying. I hated this product as well but with water is very easy to use and it works well. And because you mix it, it lasts forever!!

Works well, stops edge fraying on aida cloth
Works great! Wish the bottle was easier to open and use, but it really does stop the edges fraying on aida fabric. It dries hard and you can rinse it out after your product is finished if need be. A must have for cross-stitchers!

This glue take a long time to stick.
I will have to test the effectiveness of this again.
