Easier to use than it's alternative (Venturi)
I have this as well as the Venturi. On the Venturi, which works great, you have to hold it over your glass just right & try not to drip on the table while you're replacing it into its holder. While I believe the Venturi aerates better, this Metrokane Rabbit Wine aerating pourer is easier to use - since it fits right into the wine bottle & stays there. Less drips, but not perfect. If you have more than one red wine on the table at the same time, the Metrokane limits you more because it does fit & stay on the bottle (I suppose you could keep transferring it back & forth, but then you should just get the Venturi for that instead). Now about aerating wine in general. I've tried this out with other people, so it's not just my opinion. (This 'test' was done with the Venturi). We used the same bottle of wine and the same size / style glasses. You pour into one glass straight out of the bottle. The second glass you use the aerator. You can hide which one is which and most people have been able to tell the difference -- the (red) wine tastes smoother & better aerated. (Haven't really tried it with super cheap wine) The price-points have also come down since I first started seeing aerators. If you're going to let your wine 'breathe' for a long while before serving it (i.e. good/decent wines), or decant, you likely don't need an aerator.

Fantastic 2-in-1 Aerator & Stopper
Pure magic, this tool is a must-have for the regular wine drinker. Great in a pinch when you need a second bottle and no time to decant. Easy to use as both an aerator and a stopper. PROS: - Definitely turns a $10 bottle into one that tastes like $15. Upgrades a $15 bottle to about a $20? Diminished effect as you go up in price point. - Twists apart in three sections for cleaning: Clear part, Silver base, and nozzle. - dishwasher safe in top rack. CONS: - occasionally will drip a tad at the end of the pour. - will not catch sediment. no screen. - this may be obvious, but not recommended on white wines. TIP: On the rare occasion you can't finish a bottle, this aerator is a stopper. It forces air into the wine as it pours OUT, so you can rely on this not to punk your wine overnight. I wouldn't do it for days - for that you'll need something like this productVacu Vin Wine Saver Pump with 2 x Vacuum Bottle Stoppers - Black .

Very pleased with this purchase
Normally I don't leave reviews but I think this one deserved it. I had some guests over for a dinner and we used this on a few different wine bottles. I was skeptical at first that it would really make that much of a difference in the taste but boy, was I wrong. This is probably the best $10 purchase I've ever made. If you are an avid wine drinker, you need this. I would give the build quality an 9 out of 10. The housing is made out of a light, polished metal. The aerator itself is plastic. I am not knocking on the plastic as something like this could easily be broken. The plastic also makes it easy to store without much concern for damage. It feels SLIGHTLY flimsy which is why I am giving this an 9 but I couldn't really expect more for $10. The presentation is a 10 out of 10. For $10, they exceeded the expectation in this category. Easy of use is 10 out of 10. Again, for $10 they exceeded the expectation. No leaks or spills. Very easy to poor.

Even a wine noob can appreciate this
I'll keep this simple. I don't know much about wine, so take anything I say with a grain of salt. I've been enjoying the Rabbit Wine Aerating Pourer for several weeks now. It is very easy to use, but some care is needed as you will get a little bit of splashing or dribbling if you are not paying attention. Not much, but some. Make sure when inserting the Rabbit into the bottle to push it all the way in. It will fit in nice and tight of you do, with no danger of coming out. The clear plastic "bulb" twists off to make it easy to clean. That's all well and good, but is it worth it? The simple fact is, it works. The difference is subtle, but even to me it was noticeable. The wine is just a little bit smoother and more pleasant. My joke is that it turns a $10 bottle of wine into a $15 bottle, but that's not far from the truth. I'm glad I got this item and I recommend it.

Fastest way to improve the taste of younger red wines without the wait
Buy this. Seriously. Rather than letting your red wine breath for a few hours, this instantly removes the flavor of the tannic acid in younger red wines, making them instantly taste like mature and way more expensive wines. Even someone like me who is not that picky when it comes to wine will appreciate the difference. This plugs into the bottle (push it in firmly), and then you just pour aggressively for best results. Rinse the aerator right after you use it and it will never really need cleaning. I also have the Vinturi, and they are very similar in results.

Leaks wine everywhere
Product seems cheaply made. Leaks wine everywhere, everytime. Gave it two stars because the wine that does make it into the glass seems well aerated.

Works when it fits the bottle - sometimes leaks
When this aerator fits the bottle neck opening it does it’s job and aerates the wine well. I do find that it leaks frequently, though, which is rather annoying because I get wine dripping down the bottle and onto my counter, wine bottle coaster, etc.. Just messy. I have another aerator (the Soireee, also available on Amazon) that has a slightly beefier insert and I use the one the fits the bottle best. Sometimes the Soirée is too beefy for a bottle, in which case I use the Rabbit. This Rabbit aerator works best on bottles with smaller openings. It is easy to clean; cleans well with a rinse of hot water.

Good aerator, but drippy
The aerator works very well and does its job. Using it opens up the wine nicely. However, it splashes and drips. The splashing part is easy to fix. Just put the snout below the rim of the glass. The drippy part is not so good. I am putting a piece of paper towel underneath to keep the wine from staining my countertop. If I had company, I will go back to using a real decanter. I did find a way to minimize the dripping. After pouring is done, leave the snout below the rim of the glass for an extra 5-6 seconds to drip out the last few drops of wine left in the aerator. Drips less this way. A few drops is not a problem, as this really does aerate very well. All in all, this does aerate, but the drips irate.

My dad loved it!
I bought this as a present for my dad, as he loves wine! It is good, as it attaches to the bottle, unlike some of the others. He did a taste test as well, wine which wasn't poured through the Rabbit and wine which was. The Rabbit made it a lot smoother and tastier. Just be careful, as my dad's friend didn't realise there was a hole at the back (it lets the air in!) and spilt it on the floor.

Works well as a wine aerator but the fit in the neck of the wine bottle is loose
My new aerator came on time and just in time as my old one gave up the ghost only days before. We are very happy with the results to the wine, of the pourer. However, the fit in the bottle seems quite loose and because of that, I pour directly into the wine glass bowl and over the sink because I’m nervous of that loose fit. I have experienced some minimal leakage when tipping the aerator as drawing it out of the wine bowl.

Makes red wine taste better
A lot of today's wines, made to be drunk young, gain from getting some air into the mix - it lifts the flavour and bouquet. You can decant the stuff into a jug but this pourer saves the hassle. It stays firmly in the bottle's neck, but is easy to remove and clean. Obviously it won't turn a £2.99 bottle from the corner shop into a fine old Medoc (and you won't need to/shouldn't use it on the latter) but it does make the average red taste better as soon as you've popped the cork or unscrewed the lid.
