Quick shipping works fine

Beats seeding and fertilizing by hand. Mounts on receiver easily.

Good quality

This is a very easy to use and very simple setup. Holds about 50lbs of seed without any issues. The cord is long enough to reach the 12v plug on my Can-Am Outlander 650. It is a good solid piece of equipment with just a couple personal issues not necessarily product issues. My 3 issues with this product: 1. There is no agitator in the hopper. This caused some issues with feeding. I had to get off the 4 wheeler and tap the bottom to get it to feed again. 2. The issue I had was more than likely related to using an ATV vs a UTV. The mount sticks out about 10”-12” too far. I will just cut the tube and drill a new hole. This did end up dragging the ground but did not cause any damages. 3. The lever to open and close the hopper is really short. Even on an ATV it’s a bit of a stretch this will probably be corrected by cutting the hitch tube down. I’d imagine on a UTV you would have to put a kid in the back or make a rod to reach it. It does come with some rings with set screws to set the opening. There are no numbers or size indicators it’s just trial and error.

VERY POOR DESIGN !!! Be prepared to make modifications!!!

I am running off of a UTV and the material shut off does not even reach the tail gate !! you have to get out to stop the material from coming out... that is if it has not already closed on its own which is the other issue . DUMBEST design ever especially when pictures are from a UTV. I have to find some way to be able to open/close the shut off lever from the cab of my UTV. Pain in the @$##!! ALSO, the wiring harness is a foot too short to reach from the hopper to my console so I had to get another wire !! Who designs this stuff !!! Those two things are as basic as it comes for to be able to use this product and would not cost much more to produce . ANNOYED but keeping the product and making the modification.

Does the job

Works decent the pull part to open the chute is kinda janky the spinner is way to brittle and can’t seem to find a replacement. So buyers if you read these please contact me.

Up grade it some.

I like how well made it is. I did some up grades to it my self to meet my needs. I shorten the two inch hitch about 12 inches for less drag over humps. added this lever guide and a spring to pull gate closed when not in use. and retired the on and off switch to fit in the cab by me instead of having to get out. what i will be doing next to it adding a small motor to open and close the gate when the spreader is being used. if the company wants any of my inputs they can contact me. thanks

Good working product

Needed this product to spread granular fertilizer over acres of peonies in rows. It works almost as advertised. The spray radius is not quite as large; however, it covers about15 feet. There are two issues, neither of which is major. One is that it is a long fulcrum and loading a 50 lb bag of fertilizer puts quite a bit of weight out from the back of the 4 wheeler which lowers the height of the unit for spreading fertilizer. This can be overcome by carrying a second bag on the front of the vehicle which you can use for resupply. The second problem is that it is a gravity feed unit. If the opening becomes clogged by something too large to go through, it is difficult to clear it as it is buried under the fertilizer in the hopper. The unit appears durable but I have only used it for a short time. I was able to put out 15 50 lb bags of fertilizer in only about 4 hours time so it was a real time saver as well as labor saver. The lid is pretty difficult to put on or to take off so I just set it aside and don't use it. I would recommend this to anyone who needs to spread fertilizer or something similar such as rock salt or sand.

Good Value for the money and durable

After reading several reviews I decided to trust an American made product. Glad I did.The instructions were adequate and it appears to be made of quality materials that should stand up. Very sturdy unit. Arrived on time with no parts missing. These devices are typically mounted on the rear of ATVs however since my UTV has a front 2" receiver hitch, I decided to mount it on the front. This solved a few problems. First of all, the power cord easily reaches my plug in point. Next I was able to rig an extension to the gate lever using a small furring strip so I can open/close the gate from my cab without having to jump in/out or waste a lot of product. Note on pics the front window on my Polaris Ranger flips fully open to allow this. By having everything in front of me I can also monitor to be certain it is functioning properly. I also added temporary deflectors using shipping cardboard since I didn't want a full 40' of broadcast. I will probably rig a permanent solution for this later. Spreading fertilizer it easily spread 100# in 10 minutes and as long as its dry with no lumps it flowed well with no hang ups. Damp or lumpy material will give you problems as there is no agitator in the hopper. Figuring proper speed and gate percent opening is by trial and error but they do provide a calculation sheet for this.The gate lever is a little cheesy but worked as advertised. I would think American engineers could come up with an improvement. The cover is a bit difficult to put on but should be easier over time. Better than having it too loose! Overall very happy with purchase and I recommend it to others. I expect with proper care it should hold up for many years.

Missing all kinds of parts

Item arrived in a sealed box missing vital hardware to mount it with. No user instructions were supplied either. I imagine someone forgot to include the hardware and user manual bundle at the factory.

Works ok needs modifications

Does not work great for salt or any big seed. Needs and agitator to work properly so factor in an extra 100$ for that. The new owner cable is to short my kubota rtv x900 and needs modification and the flow adjustment is to far away a kit to extended it should be available

Good but could be better

A good product but it would be a great product if it had some kind of auger inside container to help move salt/sand to discharge area.
