Provides better feel to older bikes!

Breathed new life into my early 2000's Klein mountain bike, which has an enormous 110mm stem with only about a 6 degree rise. This one made the cockpit much more user-friendly. Only bummer is that now I wouldn't mind also going with some wider bars so this could end up being expensive but the stem itself wasn't, thankfully. It was also a simple install, done in under 10min.

Exactly what I needed!

This is a great stem, I was a little stressed about it as my bikes more of a reach than my back likes and I wasn't sure this would give me enough lift and rise to address that. Along with some trekking bars, ergonomic grips, guill to thread-less adapter, and brake levers it's the perfect setup and far more comfortable. Very well built, you will be pleased for the price if you're looking for a little more comfort in a quality product.

For single speed or urban bike conversion

This is a perfect stem to convert the old too long top tube road or track bike to a single speed or urban bike. It tightens up the handling and raises your upper body to be safer in traffic or with pedestrians. Lightweight enough, but it is a bit late 90's style with silver handlebar clamp which is 25.4. Not for newer bikes with bulging bars.

Short with steep angle, inexpensive.

I got this to adjust the fit on a slightly too large mountain bike frame, which gave me a back ache every time I rode it. It works great for the simple cross country riding I do, so I would definitely recommend it. It's hard to say how sturdy it is, I worried a little about having only two bolts for the front (though the more expensive Titec stem I had on there before was very similar). Maybe I'll have a chance to weight it at some point, I'll update my review when I do.

I think that this item would be just fine except it does not work with standard bikes. I have a triathlon racing bike and the head was too small. I looked over the ad and it didn't really give the dimensions that I was looking for. Again there is nothing wrong with the item just be very careful that it's going to be the one that fits your bike.

Looks good, and works well with my 25.4 handlebars!

Bolted right up to my 1 1/8" fork, and as I mention it is one of the few 25.4 stems that fit my handlebars. No slip on this bad boy.

Looks exactly as shown, and the price was hard to beat. My big concern is the sticker that says it's not meant for "serious off-road use". Not that I'm going to go full bore down a mountain, but what the hell does that mean?
