I wish it had been clearer in the description that this is a concentrate bath instead of a spray, which was what I was looking for, however, this can also be diluted and used as a light shed spray as long as it is diluted according to directions. As a shed bath - it's intended directions - it is wonderful and does indeed help your reptile in the shedding process, more specifically, any reptile you can give a short bath to (10-15 minutes in luke warm water), such as a snake, gecko, or iguana. I recommend using either bottled/distilled water if possible to reduce the amount of heavy metals and chlorine from tap water. If you have filtered water that's great, but tap water would be more detrimental to your reptile. When used properly with filtered or non-tap water, produces brilliant resulted and a very clean, well shed reptile. TIPS: It helps if you add a clean (boiled then cooled) rough rock of appropriate size into the bath water, it will help your reptile aid in shedding by letting the reptile rub up against the rock. Also, if you continually have problems with your reptile shedding, you should likely increase the humidity in the enclosure as well as ensuring your reptile is getting enough water and is well hydrated. Again, one should never, ever use tap water with reptiles, especially since they drink from their water and gain humidity from water. Heavy metals, chemicals, and lots of chlorine and chloramines are present in tap water. If you ONLY have tap water in an emergency you can use a de-chlorinator such as Repti-Safe, which will remove chlorine and chloramines as well as some of the chemicals, however it can not remove heavy metals and many others toxins in tap water, which is why distilled water, filtered water (obviously the better the filter the better the water), bottled water, or purified water. Finally, to aid in shedding and to increase humidity for your reptile while adding a wonderful effect, I use this product with a reptile fogger, specifically the Blue Spotted Deep Jungle Reptile Fogger which works great for our reptile rescue:Deep Jungle Fogger, Advanced Humidifying Fogger For Reptiles & Amphibians In Terrariums & Aquariums! Provides Essential Moisture & humidity For The Well-being Of Your Pet Reptile and Amphibians! but a fogger increases humidity in a more effective way than most of the misters on the market!) In conclusion, the Zilla Reptile Shed-Ease Bath is a great product to help your reptile if it is having problems shedding properly, in conjunction with a healthy diet, plenty of hydration (water), appropriate humidity levels for your reptile (if you aren't sure what you need for your reptile, Google your reptile species with the words "Care Sheet" and read at LEAST five care sheets and go with the ones that are the least commercial and the ones that all agree with each other and have common information), and regular cleaning of your reptile's habitat. Be sure to treat the underlying issue before treating the symptoms, so if your reptile needs a higher humidity, then you need to increase humidity in the habitat before jumping to shed treatments. IMPORTANT: Also, if the shedding issue continues, eye caps are stuck, or the reptile's cloaca is covered by shed and unable to evacuate -- or the bad shed is accompanied by respiratory symptoms such as runny nose, runny eyes, or any significant change in health -- PLEASE TAKE YOUR REPTILE TO A VET IMMEDIATELY! Even if you can not afford a vet, or do not have a local reptile vet, take the vet to the best place you can, and use Google or the phone book to locate several veterinarians in your area, call and explain your problem, and ask for advice. Advice is free and they may be able to refer you to someone who can help. Great product from a reputable brand!
